I LOVE this beautiful mat. The yellow is wonderfully energizing and bright. Such a stark contrast to the dreary mats that dominate classes...it makes me happy just looking at it. Oh, and as for function--it's the best mat I've ever used...never lost my grip, perfect level of support, and the closed-cell construction gives peace of mind that the mat is not harboring germs, etc. I hope you'll be as satisfied as I am! Peace!

I love the size and the fact that unlike less expensive mats, the material is solid and stays intact (my old mat was crumbling!). Have to get used to it, though, as I'm finding the rubber a little more slippery (hands and feet). Hoping this resolves itself as the mat gets broken in.

Im 1,78m and even though I was very happy with my previous Manduka mat, I often ended with my face on the ground instead of my mat as it was too short for me the length of this one is perfect, and its very comfortable, Im delighted

Purchased mine in 2014. Still looks brand new! I practice 3 days a week and it lives in my trunk in Florida. Best investment ever!

A really pretty mat that is sturdy and sticks well to my hardwood floors. The only issue I have is with the grip. Im not even doing hot yoga or anything crazy and my hands have no grip. I cant do a plank or any position requiring me to use my hands for a solid pose/movement. So I am disappointed because I bought this mat under the impression it was great for sweaty hands and feet for grip.

I really like how sturdy and weighty this mat feels. It feels very supportive. Having trouble breaking it in though. I've salted it twice and have lost my footing a couple of times. It's very hot where I am which probably makes it more slippery when I practice yoga. Using a hand towel in the meantime for more grip. Otherwise it's a beautiful well crafted mat.

Love my new mat. Just feels really good to practice on. My only complaint is that the surface is not as sticky as I would want it - my hands slip a bit in downward dog.

Bought this a week ago. Very comfy and has the right amount of cusion. Love the color. The only thing is when I sweat my hands slip and it's hard to hold a down dog position. So 4 stars instead of 5.

Love my new pro mat! A little heavy and bulky but worth carrying it around anyway, my practice feels so much more steady with it!

This is a great mat. The touch is nice, and has a warm, inviting feeling. However, your hands and feet do slide a bit, and you need to make sure to put extra attention to keep them firmly on the spot. Not sure how it would work when you are sweated.

I have had this mat for about a month and like the weight of the mat, it's size and texture; however, despite scrubbing the mat with salt as instructed, my hands still slip after a few minutes of practice.

Bought another Manduka yoga mat. Their products are high quality but was a bit disappointed that this mat is more of a grey color than black as the description notes.

I bought my mat a few months ago and loved it immediately. It feels luxurious to practice on. The only thing that I am still getting used to and am not sure that I love is the weight of the mat when carrying it from place to place. It is heavier than I expected.

I bought this mat about a month ago to use at home since I have tile floors & no area rug in my living room, for when I practice yoga at home. The tile is brutally hard, so I wanted the thickest mat on the market. It definitely delivers! I followed the first time use instructions & applied a thick layer of salt on the mat & let it sit overnight, to help break it in. It was a very messy clean up, I must say, since I decided to do it inside. I was too afraid to leave my beautiful mat outside, on my back porch, since my yard gets frequent visitors from neighboring cats, raccoons & possums. Even though I doubt they would have any interest in a mini salt mine, I didn't want to risk ruining my pricey new mat. I've been using it 3-4 times a week since, working on my form in challenging poses and inversions. Boy is this bad boy slippery! Maybe I didn't do a good enough job cleaning off the salt? But it seems that the mat, almost makes me sweat?? I practice mostly hot power yoga & am a serious sweater in general, but I have the a/c on in my house, so I was surprised at how quickly whatever part of my body came in contact with the mat, started to sweat. No worries though, I anticipated this based on reviews and friends who have the mat, had told me. So I put down my hot yoga towel & thought that would surely solve it. Only by 50%. I was still sliding & having a hard time keeping my feet firmly planted in Warrior II & similar poses. Now I've started taking my mat with me to hot yoga, in the hopes that I can speed up the "breaking in" process & literally sweat out my mat. So far, no major changes. In summary, amazing quality mat. Beautifully constructed, seriously thick & extra large. But just like everyone has told me "it takes FOREVER to break in". For the record, I'm ok with that because I plan on always using a towel when I practice hot yoga. I don't like the sensation of having to literally lay in a pool of my sweat. Just personal preference. I'm just hoping I stop sliding around on my towel, soon.

I'm still building a relationship with my mat, which I've had only a few weeks. So far I really like the texture, the support, and "cushion" it provides. I'm still adjusting to the weight of it as I transport it to and from class, which is why I didn't rate it excellent, at this time. It's heavy, but I think it will be a worthwhile concession in order to enjoy the other benefits of this mat.
