I love this shoe! To be honest, I was not a huge fan of Hokas. I wanted to love Hokas because I just stared on trails and thought, omg, the cushion! But, because I need a stability shoe, they just didn't cut it for me. Each time I put on my Cliftons, I ended up with chaffing (loose fitting shoe), knee pain, or rolling my foot on a rock. I think this is mainly because I have large flat feet and a pronation issue. I have always had issues with PF, and the latest bout of that pretty much derailed my running. The Hoka Clifton, was so comfy, but my foot had no stabilty. So I put the Hokas back in the closet and went back to my "go to" shoe for the last 15 years, the Brooks Adrenaline. So when this new Hoka came out, I figured I would give it a shot. The stability of my Brooks married with the cushion and comfort of the Hoka, sign me up! So far, I love it! The shoe fits much better than the Clifton. I do still wear my orthotics, so not sure if that makes a difference or not, but there is no rubbing or movement in the toe area with these. They are unbelievably light weight and flexible. So, true confession, my mileage has not been a lot... but for what I am doing currently (about 15-20 miles a week), they are perfect. I have not had a chance to use them on a trail, mostly road, but I am excited to find out how they ride!

I use this shoe for speed work and extended runs. It's incredible once you get used to the height of the heel, it's a great stride.

I am rating this shoe a 5 because it definite has stability and firmness. I did return because it is not what I really needed in a running shoe although I felt it was.

I take long walks with my Airedales (who weigh 65 lbs each) and these shoes provide great stability even if they are pulling me. I also compete in Agility with my dogs and the ability to run and remain stable through out a course is important and these shoes deliver.

I use these shoes for my everyday triathlon training. No matter the distance or speed, these shoes are perfect. I have tried a ton of shoes and had some success but suffer from shin splints so have to be fairly picky about the support I get from my shoe. These are light and durable, comfortable and breathable, and perfect for triathlon with ease of transition and fit. I have always wanted to try the Hoka line but have always found the shoes on the ugly side (sorry!), as in bulky and too loud of colors. These do not sacrifice fashion for function or vice versa! I love them and would definitely recommend to anyone!

I really love Hokas. I have several pairs. I tried this shoe 3 different ways, 3 sizes. I could not get a good fit. This shoe ran a full size longer/wider than my Bondi 5's. Tried a regular and it felt "too light" no support. When I tried the wide I swam in it both in my regular size and a half size smaller. I will stick with Bondi 5 for now.

Coming off of ACL surgery, I had a hard time finding a shoe that just felt good. A running store pointed me to Hoka and I have never looked back. I use the Hupana in particular for gym workouts and short runs and I stay completely comfortable!

New to 'real' running shoes. These were a gift from my son for my 60th birthday. Very comfortable.

I love the look of these and bought them to have a pair of shoes that I use exclusively at the gym for studio strength and cardio classes. They are light and comfortable but they have no traction. I've never worn shoes that are so slippery before and since I've worn them, now own them. There is such little traction that my feet even slip using the elliptical. I wouldn't recommend these for any type of cardio workout except maybe on a treadmill and walking outside on a sidewalk.

Find it very interesting, that I submitted a review a couple of days ago... sadly it was unfavorable,, and yet, it doesn't show up in the list of reviews.. Clearly, you have chosen to show only those favorable to you.. which can be very misleading to customers.
Might want to reconsider being a little more transparent.

My husband has been a Hoka fan for several years. I was skeptical that these should could be as comfortable as he claimed. But he is correct! These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. There was no "breaking in" needed.

I love this shoe. I have black and plum. I have worn many hoka models and other than the Clifton 1, this is my favorite and most comfortable shoe.

Every time I run in my HOKA I get a blister on the metatarsal area. I have started running with inserts in my shoes which helps. Disappointed that these shoes are not more comfortable for me.

I received these shoes as a gift from TRAIL AND ULTRA RUNNING (TAUR). I have tried almost every shoe under the sun and experienced some type of grief whether it be discomfort, blisters or even injury all caused by my running shoes. I've suffered chronic IT band issues for the past several years but I have to say I haven't had a single flair up since I started running in the Hupanas. I only have about 150 miles on them (I run 30-40 miles per week) and they are starting to wear and already need replaced :( but running injury free and in comfort, I helps offsets the downside of quick wear on these shoes. They are super light weight! Very responsive and I can feel the road, but superior cushioning at the same time. I've had some runs in the rain, and because of the breathability of the shoe, my feet dried quick and I mad it through these longer wet runs blister free. Love these shoes. Every neutral runner owes it to themselves to try these!!!

I am a loyal HOKA customer and my girl who is a nurse and is on her feet for 12 hour shifts was tired of hearing me rant about HOKAS. I ordered them for her and once she slipped them on, she smiled from ear to ear! I have 4 pairs of HOKAS and recommend them to everyone I know. Keep it up!

I run distance. This shoe was brought to my attention 3 years ago. I haven't bought another shoe since. I just finished my third Palmetto 200 in Hokas, and turned 3 of my running friends and 2 nurse friends into Hoka lovers! Hoka has my heart.
