Nice to see the price drop on these shoes. As far as waterproof goes, that’s kind of a joke. They are for perhaps the first month until the inside stitching starts to fail or the waterproof material just starts falling off in chunks. I can’t say enough good things about Zappos but as for keens, after years of loyal use, something has changed and I’m moving on. I used to love this brand but they have significantly fallen off. Zappos graciously replaced a pair of these for me last season after both soles began to fall off of the shoes, after three hikes. For well north of 100 dollars, I thought that was sad. The pair that they replaced the others with has fallen apart in similar if not worse fashion and they have seen zero hiking trails. Just normal use and some paved state park trails. Unlike Zappos, keens customer service is less than interested in a timely response as well. In my opinion, stay away.

I've had about 10 pairs of Targhee 2s over the years ...three of these were boot style ...they were all great ...I've worn them fpr everyday use, and (the boots) for long distance hikes in Britain the USA, Patagonia, Nepal, etc. They fit well , dry out overnight when I get them soaked, etc. I recommend them heartily ...

Wore these on a hike in pretty uneven terrain less than a week after getting them. They were very comfortable and gave great support. Bought these to replace a 20-years-old pair of Vasque Sundowners that were beginning to hurt my feet after years of great service. Needless to say, I am very pleased with these shoes. Light and comfortable and waterproof.

If you are used to Keens wide toe, these will feel small. The toe is tapered more than most Keens, took me forever to break in and they still rub. Love the style just not the fit. In typical Keen fashion the rubber toe separated from the shoe within a week.

I had the previous version of this shoe - two of them in fact - which were great. I hit the trail with no break-in and they felt great. These may be the same but I don't know. Really don't like the new redesign and colors.

Fit was perfect. Didn't require much of a break in at all. Look good, received a couple of compliments. Walk through several streams and feet stayed dry until I went to deep and water came over the top. Inside dryer out quickly, while wearing. I'd buy again for sure.

My last KEEN's are 12 years old and size 11 and I bought these for a hiking trip next month and decided to go up a 1/2 size- I'm glad I did! There is a little more room for thick socks and I love the support and extra cushion.

Bought these for a mid-week hiking trip, and didn't wear them until the actual hike, which had me worried until I put them on. Right away I noticed one thing—they felt a little "loose", even though I'm a size 10 in just about every shoe out there. That was easily solved with a pair of thick socks and an extreme tightening of the laces. Still, you might want to consider that when buying. When we got to the trail, all my worries melted away however. The shoes were great: comfortable, supportive, waterproof. Because of poor planning on our part, what was supposed to be a moderate three-hour hike turned into a pretty strenuous seven-hour one, a trip that had us climbing small boulders, crossing streams, going through ice and mud—you name it, we encountered it. And these shoes were with me 100% of the time, never failing to support and help me move on. Highly recommended, I only wish they didn't look so dated (I felt like a mid-90s granola type the entire time).

These are my first Keen shoes, and I am very pleased with them. I bought them for our trip to Arizona, as I didn't want to use my tennis shoes for hiking. We hiked the infamous Camelback (double black diamond) trail from the Echo Canyon trailhead...I am pleased to report that I didn't experience any pain, blisters, etc! I did take a 3.5 mile walk on paved roads before tackling the mountain, but even out of the box, no pain or discomfort. The grip of soles helped me deal with gravel, rock, dirt...no slipping and good support for all of the awkward positions experienced on this climb. Great shoe!

Purchased these for my picky father for Christmas. They passed the test! He loves the look and feel of them and often receives compliments from his friends on them. Perfect winter shoe - you won’t have to worry about sliding in these.

Nice looking, comfortable right from the start, able to log several hours at a time in them. Delivery was prompt and the whole transaction was hassle-free, except from my wife who thinks I have too many shoes.

My son loves these and says that they will be perfect for the winter as he walks 1.5 miles to school. He says that they are very comfortable right out of the box.

These were surprisingly narrow for a pair of hiking shoes marked as E/Wide. They didn't feel particularly long but the heel cup was loose while the toe box was uncomfortably tight. To get the laces clamped down enough for my heel not to slip, the fronts of my feet were getting crushed. Unfortunately, these look like a return.

The forefoot area is a good 1/4” narrower than previous versions of this model. That may not seem like much, but after walking around on concrete floors for 10 hours a day, as your feet swell, even slightly, you may find that it matters quite a bit. I rated them as “narrower” in width, for that reason. I also found this same narrowing of the forefoot area on all six pairs of the various Keen’s I ordered, so if you want a nice, roomy toe box, I suggest you look elsewhere.

These are just like my Targhee Exp Mid WP that I bought a little over two years ago. Same fit and materials with one change, a gray accent color in the sole. My mids are holding up well, and I expect these to do the same.

UPS Driver review...averaged 30 miles per week at work on a rural route. I worked these shoes on diamond plate floors, pavement, gravel, mud, the muck of leaves and farms.... you get it. The comfort and traction lasted 2 to 3 months longer than other shoes have for me. The toebox width allows for wider socks on cooler days. I ran this shoe from April until November in South Western Washington.

Fabulous! My go-to hiking shoe and to keep dry feet while running the dog. Truly waterproof, which seems so hard to find, and very comfortable with roomy toe box and sufficient support. Will be buying a second pair.

New favorite hiking shoe! I bought these and some boots, but end up wearing these more often on moderate hikes. Comfortable instantly except for one stiff tongue edge that is slowly getting softer. Love the roomy toe box. Supportive: no need for premium insoles. Very good grip on wet rocks and so far, truly waterproof. Very happy with this purchase.

Disclosure up front: I'm returning these, but they do seem like great shoes. Here's my review based on wearing them around the house a couple of times: Good fit and finish. Runs true to size, but is wider than it looks in the photo (I got size 8.5). Sole material seems like a good balance between grip and durability. Comfortable footbed and good overall comfort except for one spot that rubs the front of my ankle on the inside (to be fair I have sort of pointy ankles) - this is the main reason I'm returning them. Great overall protection for a low-top shoe, and I especially like that there's good support toward the outside of the shoe - I don't feel as likely to roll my ankle as I do in some shoes.
