The shoe felt short and the footbed was uncomfortable. I've had great luck with several Keen sandals from Zappos but this felt like a different shoe altogether. Too bad, I'm looking for a waterproof shoe for walking in the rain and wet grass and I liked the way this shoe looked.
I'd also recommend:
Any shoe not made in China. Keen has an American made sandal superior to their far east shoe.

These shoes are a bit boxy even by Keen standards so if it's flash you're looking for this it's not the shoe for you. I'm sure these are going to turn into excellent hiking shoes because I have such faith in Keen products. I can't say they've ever let me down. My only real concern about this shoe is that the sides are a bit high and, at least for now, they rub the bottom of both of my ankle malleoli (The boney bumps on top of your ankle at the end of your leg). Hopefully in time they will break in and that will no longer be an issue.

May just be me, but this pair could have been two different size shoes; left fit fine however the right felt a full size too large. They'll be on their way back and I'll try a different brand. Still love Zappos and the website is great. No hassle ordering and return process. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Don't buy these if you weigh over 200 (?) pounds- the foam collapses in a matter of weeks and then they have no arch support. I've gone through two pair now in the last 6 months and the same thing happened- super comfy for the first week, meh by the second, my feet are killing me by the 3rd (I'm 6'5" 250 lbs). I used to love Keens and the wide toe box (I wear a 16 so few brands carry my size), but of late there has been a notable decline in quality. Now I've got 2 insoles in there and extra padding and I can't wear them- even to stand at my home desk- for more than an hour. Forget going for a hike too- the mesh upper doesn't hold your foot very securely. Can't recommend.

The problem with these shoes was a strange hump in the insole opposite the arch support on the inside of the foot. It is as if the manufacturer assumed an arch on both sides of one's feet. Very uncomfortable!

These shoes were extremely comfortable out of the box. They did feel like they run a little small. Low rating because the sole started falling apart after 6 months with only moderate use. After 1 year they needed a replacement.

Sorry Keen Your shoes are very comfortable but this is my 2nd pair where the rubber soul just starts to break off in large chunks. This pair went longer then the last but the just don't hold up to even moderate use. I'll spend my future cash on other brands.

I am used to the Keen Voyager. This particular pair of Targees had a higher ankle side support with a lot less padding, in fact, quite hard and sharp. Blistered the outside of my ankles within one mile of walking. Tried tightening, loosening lacing, all to no avail. Usually happy with Keens, so this is either a bad pair or a bad design for me.

If you like this product, good for you. Not what I was looking for.

I have been buying Keens for a long time now, and accidentally bought this shoe twice figuring I would give it another shot because I like the look of it. It's not as clunky as the older style Keens. I specifically like Keens because they have a wide toe, this shoe however has a very stiff narrow toe and when kneeling the toe folds right on the cuticles of my toes making them feel like they are cutting them off. On the older style Keens the first thing to break down was the toe cap, but a little shoe goo or barge glue would fix them right up. This shoe within weeks of breaking them in started to loose pieces of the sole, the nubs that are grey are not completely affixed to the rest of the black sole and tore away leaving a hole that goes clear to the cloth foot bed, needless to say they are no longer water proof. I'm not sure what is going on with Keen as a company, but it seems like their quality control or redesign is going to be their downfall. Sad to say, I am looking for a new brand as Keens just aren't dependable as they used to be.

Ordered 5 pairs of Keens. Will be returning 4 of them. I thought they were supposed to fit good? These had flaws in the manufacturing to make them so uncomfortable I could not imagine keeping them. Maybe it's just me, but I'll be sticking with Merrell. Not sure why I thought to try Keen.

lasted 4 months before it is in need of a replacement. Tread falls off and the toes separates from the rubber on the sides.

Wouldn’t buy again. After the first pair fell apart and I got a free replacement, thank you Zappos, this pair lasted 4 months before it is in need of a replacement as well. Tread falls off and the toes separates from the rubber on the sides. Keen hit a foul ball with these. Which is unfortunate because I only buy Keen and was looking a different style.

Ordered these for my dad who wore them inside the house to make sure he liked them. He was convinced that they were good, but then after wearing them outside and in the airport now complains that one sole clicks when he walk. Upon inspecting them, I see that the fabrics/leathers are dyed different slightly different colors. The stitching is also slightly different on the two shoes and the right side feels slightly heavier than the left. is there anything we can do to return them now even though they have been worn outside?
