I own / have owned at least a dozen pairs of Native Shoes since their inception. Right off the bat, these boots are more substantial and seemingly higher quality than any other shoes I have purchased from them; they're also roomier and fit true-to-size -- which is a rarity with this brand (they often run small to very small). They're also heavier than is typical of Native, while still being much lighter than a typical version of this boot. They're very nice looking, fairly warm, waterproof and great for hiking. Overall, these are among the best I have purchased from this brand, and it's nice to see that they have upped their game.

I typically wear a size 8 or 8.5 and I ordered up and purchased a size 9. I figured since I was wanting to wear a thicker wool sock underneath, then the extra room would be good. I'm thankful that I choose to size up, because I find these to run a bit small. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have worn these boots every day for the last 5 days. I spend all day on my feet working and needed a boot that could handle being outside in the rain and snow, but also light enough to walk around in all day. These one worked out really well and I recommended them to a co-woker who purchased them as well! They are a tad wide for my feet, but I don't mind too much. They light lining provides enough warmth that standing out in the snow doesn't transfer the chill like standard rain boots do. I find the tread to be substantial enough that I don't slip and slide in the slush at all. It's great too that I can wipe them down with a damp cloth and they come clean.

Really nice looking, and I was excited to feel the quality as I took them out of the box. I'm somewhere between a 7 and 7.5, and the 7 fit perfectly. But then I stood up--the lack of arch support made me realize these aren't really meant for my kind of trekking (miles in the mountains). I explored if the insoles could be removed and replaced with SuperFeet. But no. And there's not enough room in the toe box to double up on insoles (at least substantial ones like SuperFeet). So I'm returning them. If you have shallow arches, they might work for you. I'm still searching for vegan hiking shoes for both summer and winter... sigh.

Love these boots. Just what I was looking for. There is minimal to no arch support or collar padding but still ok for light walking. I’m still breaking them in. These are my first Native Shoes but I would consider purchasing more in the future.
