I bought these to replace another pair of Bass Larson Weejuns I'd had that were incredibly comfortable, had lasted for years, but began to show signs of age. While the new pair I purchased have the same great styling (great for the office as well as casual), I have to say that I'm very disappointed in the comfort. While my prior pair were almost as soft and comfortable as slippers, these new ones are very stiff. At first I thought they would soften with age, but it's now been 6 months and they are as stiff as when they came out of the box. The issue comes down to the quality of the leather. It almost feels like a leather-like or 'pleather' type material. I actually tried posting a review on Bass's own web-site, and even though I received an e-mail saying my review was approved, it was never posted. I guess they don't care for critical product reviews. I wrote to them twice asking why the review was never posted, and they never responded.
