Shoe fits wells but color is boring. Would purchase more in colors as varied as the men's.

Use this as a every day shoe. Fits well at the instep and ball but could have a narrower heal.

I have been wearing this exact shoe for over 5 years (with the same type of sock). I ordered the size I had been wearing, and it was too short. I returned it, ordered half a size up, and it's pretty good now, although I would be happier if it were a quarter size bigger! The reason I really like this shoe is that is comes in a narrow width, a difficult thing to find in an athletic shoe.

I have purchased New Balance for many years. Now it is very good that some styles are offered in wider widths 2E and 4E as many people have widths beyond medium. For women, it would be good to also have 4 and 4 1/2 available, and in wider widths, too! When shoes can be made to each individual foot, that would be really great!!!

I walk 2 miles or more 6-7 days a week, at a moderate to brisk pace. I have 2E (extra-wide) feet, very high arches, and wear orthotics. These shoes are comfortable, accommodate my orthotics, and feel stable for my supinating gait. They are also deep enough to fit an additional store-bought flat foam insole for a little extra cushioning. They are definitely clunky and "orthopedic-shoe" looking, but do satisfy my needs for my exercise routine.

This is my 3rd pair of New Balance with the roll bar feature. I can wear them all day & have no pain at the end of the day. This pair I just bought doesn't have the breathable fabric, hopefully my white socks will stay whiter.

I love my new pairs of these shoes, in both white and black. I wish the small amounts of mesh had a dirt-resistant coating.

The toe box was a lot more narrow and shorter than new balance 847s. My toes kept rubbing against the front even though I have the exact same size and width in other New balance shoes.

Good narrow walking shoes. However, toe/ball of foot is wide for a narrow shoe. I use orthotics for better support.

Good fit for my weird feet, except maybe I tend to walk on the outside of my feet a bit too much in them.
I'd also recommend:
I've only worn New Balance for years, at my podiatrists recommendation to wear any NB above 845.

This is the first black pair of this shoe I have purchased. I have a pair of beige ones that I have worn for several years. I like the stabilizer and the cushioning. I am not excited about solid black but there is a limited color selection. I bought another beige pair as well. I did not see them on sale.

I wear them for my work in hospital environment. I am on my feet all day. They are comfortable. My feet do not perspire in the shoe coverings that I must wear all day.

I like everything about these shoes except for the weight. They are very, very heavy. I'm still breaking them in, but they are comfortable.

Disclaimer: the following is not the fault of the show, company, manufactures or any affiliates. Two and a half weeks later, I am still suffering rear-end and low back pain from a horrific slip and fall on slick rain. These shoes are great ankle and arch support and stop my rolling tendencies. But they truly need a tread update. 100% will buy again and again. Just do something about that tread.

I am so grateful that NB offers wide and wider shoes. That said, I wish they offered more shoes in the widest sizes. I glad that the shoes fit. I don't care for the way they look or the height of the sole. However, my options are very limited because I need such a wide shoe. Then there is that very short tongue and very short shoe laces. I would rather have paid a few dollars more for a shoe with a real tongue and laces than had NB skimp on these.

I am a security guard and am required to wear all black shoes and I have to walk a lot on the job. These shoes are very supportive and look professional.

920 was out of stock for a long time. Had to go with the 928, @$60 more and you didn't apply my 25 % discount. I don't see the difference. The 928 will only last 6 months as well. I am a pastry chef, standing all day long. 920 or 928 seem to be the only shoe that fits my orthodics well.

I've worn New Balance 928s several years ago, but have been very pleased with Brooks Addiction Walkers. Unfortunately, the Brooks were out of stock. I was hoping the NB would work for me instead. However, the shoe has changed, not in a good way for me, from those shoes made before. I wear a 7.5 Extra Wide, but these felt too large in the toe box, although they fit my bunions correctly , as well as the mid-section and heel. I'm surprised the shoe is not extra wide in the toe box only to accommodate bunions/hammertoes. Instead, these seem designed for an extra wide foot and heel. When I tied them tight across the midsection of my foot, the front of the shoe puckered from the laces in the toe box area. Unfortunately, I had to send them back.

I bought these for my wife. The size was fine and the fit worked with her less firm orthotics. Unfortunately, her new orthotics have a much stiffer arch support which just did not work with them. It made them too tight on the top especially over her big toe and started feeling like extensor tendonitis pain.

These shoes meet my exact needs. They're waterproof with black leather upper and sole. They provide great arch & side support, as well as toe room. It took about 3 or 4 days to break them in, but now they're truly comfortable and are worn daily. They're ugly, but great for gardening & walking.

I stand on my feet all day at work and mostly in one spot which is very hard on my feet and legs, these shoes are very spacious and I should have bought a 1/2 size smaller. I don't like how the top of the shoe dents in near the toes, this makes the shoe look sloppy and too big. I love the roll bar.

I purchased these shoes for work. I work at a hospital so im walking ALL DAY. I was having trouble finding shoes for people who overpronate and went through excruciating pain. But after receiving help from a wonderful employee at a new balance store, I purchased these along with new balance's pressure relief insoles, and the combo is absolutely amazing. I am so happy that I found a shoe that I can walk in all day with absolutely no pain. And my overpronation is terrible. The only reason i didn't give this a 5 star review is because after wearing the shoe it stretches a bit and they become slightly loose. They are also very bulky and not to pleasing to the eye as far as style goes. But if you're looking for comfort and have moderate to severe overpronation, I'd definitely suggest giving this shoe a try.

I wear them everyday. They have made some changes to the shoe I didn't care for. The shoe box was enlarged, for people who wear orthodics, I wear orthodics and never had a problem with the shoe box, also the heal was widened which I like a heal that is narrower so my feet don't slide in the shoe. I have been wearing new balance for years.

Adult daughter with disabilities. She walks each day and wore through her NB. Shoes no longer available, tried something new. She said this shoe leaves her with no ankle or knee pain after walking. He has low muscle tone so this is great. Prior review warned of the short laces. It's true so makes it hard for her to tie shoe on her own.
