This is the third pair of WW847WT3 athletic shoes I purchased from New Balance in the last month. All were DEFECTIVELY made. I couldn't wear them. I returned all 3 pairs to New Balance. I couldn't speak to a customer service representative. These shoes slope across the the back (are not cut straight), and are too shallow. One pair not only sloped across the back, but had an additional problem. The inside of the right and the left shoe was cut lower on one side than on the other side. Really badly made! Since New Balance charges me the shipping cost of an order, I won't be ordering any more. I purchased 3 pairs of these same shoes two years ago, and they were well made. What a shame that New Balance is doing such a bad job today.

a piece of material in the right shoe caused discomfort. I returned the shoes and since I have been NB customer for at least 40 + years I will continue to purchase the running and other shoes

These shoes are very stiff. Also, too wide for a B width.

I've been wearing New Balance for years because it's one of the few brands that come in a narrow width. However, I've had to return 2 pairs recently because the shoes are not as narrow as they used to be. It looks like I'm going to have to find a new brand.

Returned the shoes bc they were longer than almost identical model they were to replace, causing heel to slip.

I bought two pairs of these shoes in different colors, and the insoles are lumpy. The bottoms of my feet hurt at the end of the first day of wearing them and have continued. Really surprised about this!

A bad fit for a 10.5N; the toe box was very wide, no cradling of my foot and felt that my toenails hit the top of the shoe when I tried them on walking and walked around in the house. NB materials feel hard and not very comfortable for the price one pays for this walking shoe. I definitely would not recommend it and returning this product.
I'd also recommend:

I've purchased this shoe a few times and I like them, until this time. I have worn them 3 times and after I've walked in them, my feet hurt so bad, I can't stand it.. there is a roll bar in them, but my heels ache like a toothache. I will be looking into returning this particular shoe

Walking shoe, not at all comfortable, especially the left foot, would not recommend this shoe for someone with a wide foot, I did order the 2e, I think the 4e
would be too wide.

I have NB 990, size 12 AA, that fit perfectly. My narrow foot is hard to fit. I ordered the 847v3 online in 12AA. They did not fit and I had to return them.

I usually wear 9 narrow but these hurt my toes. My feet moved around a lot so not too wide. Too late to return. Don't recommend.

I have a white pair like the grey ones I just bought. The material is different and the grey looks metallic. I do not like the dark grey, because it does not look like the shoes online.

This was a horrible "upgrade". I could not wear these shoes for more than an hour and even that had me in tears. Bring back V2. Now I will have to spend time only seeing if ANYONE has this shoe in V2. When I took them back, the lady told me that even the employees do not like them.
I think they are true to size, but the inside is significantly smaller.

I bought TWO pair of SKECHERS for what NEW BALANCE charged me for one pair, and they're every bit as good of a walking shoe as NEW BALANCE.
GOOD-BYE NEW BALANCE!

Im in tears1 Ive had tried and tried to get shoes I can wear without consent pain. I bought these thinking the deeper toe box would help horrible bunnions and severe hammertoes. I wanted them to work so bad. While the toe box is deeper the rigid leather cuts right accross the hammertoes making them even more painful because there is no give. Is this hopeless?

These are absolutely not a replacement for the V2's. Not as deep, heel slips, had to return. Please bring back the V2's, cannot find anything else that is comparable.

I bought these to replace a pair of WW847 that were SO comfortable, right out of the box, with no break in needed. The new improved WW847v3 are TERRIBLE. The shoe now cuts my ankle bone as soon as I tried it on, didn't have to walk in it to know I could never stand to keep them on my feet. I've been buying these shoes for years, first at a New Balance store, then through Zappos. Never again. Shame on you, NB --If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!!
If I could give less than 1 star, I would

I love the style and thought with such a wide short foot that I have this would be perfect, however; my feet are very sore after wearing them, even with my orthodic's tried wearing without orthodics but still not comfortable.
I was very hopeful but the comfort is not there. Dissapointed!

I agree with Love the V2! Have 3 pair! These are nothing like the V2 & not same comfort level at all. Very disappointing.

I have never written a review until now. I have worn the 847 for years and I don't know what happened to the v3 but it does not have the support, cushioning or structure of the v2. I feel like I'm wearing Grandma's bedroom slippers and I can't do serious walking in those without major foot pain. I would have been glad to pay more for the same quality as the v2. Now I'll be looking at other brands. What a disappointment and waste of money.

Have three pairs of worn-out 847v2 and loved them. When needed new was told no longer make so got the 847v3. But it has always hurt. Have looked and looked and waited and waited. Still no 847v2. I concur with those who say the v3 is inferior and hurts. I keep getting the soles re-glued on the 847v2s and they look terrible but are comfortable. While the 847 v3 sits in closet because hurts. Desperately need to buy new 847v2s with mesh but can't find anywhere. P-L-E-A-S-E L-I-S-T-E-N T-O U-S AND MAKE AGAIN.

These 847-3 I purchased aren't anything like the 847 I had in the past, as usual a company took a great product and changed it, now it's complete junk

I am searching desperately for a good substitute for the v2. The v3 was actually uncomfortable! Heel slippage, inadequate support, and too tight in the toe box. I need a supportive mesh walking shoe, and with the sloppy update to the v3 I may have to leave the brand altogether.
