Customer Reviews New Balance 847v3

I ordered my 3rd or 4th pair of this model on July 11, 2019 and I just started wearing them on July 27th, 2019. Unfortunately, this latest pair was a replacement for one that was purchased on April 29, 2019. I wear the shoes only a couple of hours per day and do not walk far. I called on July 3, 2019 to report that a chunk of one of the heels came off and I did not believe the shoe wore well considering the amount of time I wore them. I sent them back with an authorized return Master Card credit. Then I purchased the same pair on July 11, 2019. Except for the pair that wore out prematurely, I have liked the model. Although I prefer a jogging shoe for walking (for the cushioning) this walking shoe provides stability in the form of motion control. It's a little stiff unlike the jogging shoe but it is more affordable and I do like it.

I was not very impressed. The sneaker were not very comfortable for walking.

The shoes are OK, but kind of pricey for just OK shoes. I really do like that they are mostly "leather" and that the N is same color as shoe. They probably offer more stability than the 877's I have worn, but are not as comfortable. What I want is a good, comfortable walking shoe. ALSO, I never purchase white or black shoes and this is mostly what New Balance is going to. Keep gray ones, please!

Shoe is the 6th one I've ordered in Narrow from NB and from other companies in the last 3 months trying to find shoe that fits my narrow foot. NB used to work for me but now is still too wide in the toe box. I am keeping these anyway as I need shoes.

My heel kept coming out of these shoes, no matter how I laced them. The other problem was the plastic like material at the toe bent in an odd way on one shoe and hurt the toes, the other shoe was fine. Shoe was also wider than my other New Balance shoes.

The shoe look nice and I am sure it would have been been comfortable but narrow by your standards was still to wide to fit my foot.

Hate when I have to spend over$125 to get a fair pair of shoes and then have to spend an additional $40 to get some real insoles! When I first started buying NB even the low end walking shoes were a great shoe

Ugly shoe but well made love new balance shoes will try another style for sure.

Have been wearing them for 2 wks or more.Supportive but needed extra cushioning.Good motion control too.

Nice sneaker but runs large and not what I was looking for after all.

No where near as comfortable as my fresh foams. Unfortunately, I can't get those in all black. These are not attractive shoes, but they will do for work.

I have exclusively worn the New Balance 847 v2 shoes for multiple years. I have had at least 4 pairs of that style. Last time I went to my specialty shoe store I was given the new version- without notice that they had been redesigned. I immediately felt the difference. The top of the toe box is a hard and stiff nylon that is very uncomfortable and even leaves marks on my foot. The stiff nylon material is also along the sides of the shoe and along the laces so it feels like you are wearing a nylon shoe box not a 100$ pair of shoes. Since the store needed to special order for me I needed to pay advance and was stuck with these shoes. I have been unable to wear these shoes for more than a few minutes at a time whereas I used to own multiple pairs before the terrible redesign. I would not recommend these shoes for people with "problem feet" or with sensation issues where the nylon pressure could cause sores. Also, the support seems to be lacking compared to the prior version so I would hesitate to even recommend them as walking shoes. New Balance please go back to the leather upper and the prior version. These used to be great shoes for braces or problem feet now they worsen the problem.

Excellent shoe while it lasts. I purchased the shoe April 2018 and by early Nov 2018 the rear half of the sole on one foot detached from the shoe. I walk 3+ miles every other day. I wonder how long my repair with Gorilla Glue will hold. I had a similar issue with another New Balance shoe.

The shoe is nice, very comfortable. It just had too much space . The size 13 shoe fit like a 13 1/2. I returned the shoes.

Please read these reviews. It is all true. My foot falls to the inside on my right foot. Too much material on side. It is too big in heal. The 847 was perfect. You just ruined it. Why why why? The v2 couldn't wear . Yikes baby boomers lived the old 847.

I have narrow feet. The toe box on these is wider than the 847V2 I have and even wider than the 990V4 I usually wear. I would not purchase these again for that reason.

I need a higher level shoe for working at the Post Office. The V3 is alright, but would have preferred the 847v2. The V3 seemed to run slightly larger than the V2.
