Looking for a pair of good walking shoes for travel. My slightly over-pronating, high-arched, plantar-fasciitis-prone feet demand that comfort trump fashion. These are very lightweight and flex-y, so they should accommodate aching feet and the swelling that is the inevitable result of sitting on a plane then walking miles a day. The uppers are soft and comfortable and the soles feel nicely cushioned. They don't have much arch support, but I ALWAYS remove the insoles of running/walking shoes and replace them with orthotics, as per my doc's orders. And, yay, for black! Since I'll wear them a lot on a trip, the black uppers with subtle metallic trim and soles are actually pretty cute and unobtrusive for sporty shoes, and nothing to clash with my travel wardrobe. (Bright running shoes are fine for running, but I'm less a fan for wearing as every day shoes.) After trying on about 10 pair, these are the keepers. I'm usually a true size 8 and almost always an 8 1/2 in running shoes/trainers/sneakers. That holds true here. Like all my other New Balance and most other running shoes, the 8 1/2 fits well with socks.

Love these lightweight sneakers, they were super comfortable right out of the box. Size and flexibility were just right for me. I've gotten compliments on them already and the color is a good neutral. I've gone for leisurely hikes on and off trail and they stand up to the terrain. Great sneaker for low impact activities.

I thought they were cushy at the store but at the gym I found them a bit too narrow and just 'meh' to be great running shoes. They're ok. I just don't love them and don't want to wear them running. And they're not great for cross training either...

Shoes looked great but not much arch support so I am returning. If you like a flatter foot bed and wide toe room these would be great. Love Zappos!

Perfect for running errands around town. Would not use as a “running” shoe. I? likes these so much I? bought a second pair in a different color.

This shoe is my every day shoe! Super comfortable for my 9.5 wide-d feet!! Walking is pleasent, brisk walking with granny is very nice, and even running cross country in these shoes are awesome for me. And the color of thunder/black down right sexy in my eyes and feet! The only reason it has four stars for the overall rating is because of the laces are too long for my liking. I have to double knot, and I haven't done that chore since I was single digits. I'll totally buy these again and again! ??

I saw a Facebook add for this shoe, so I thought I would see what the hype was all about. I was disappointed. The "fresh foam" insert is thin and not that soft or cushiony. Maybe for running errands on weekends but that is about it. No arch support whatsoever. I am still debating weather or not to return them... I cannot imagine seriously working out or running in these, not even a mile.

I read reviews before buying anything. I truly appreciated the review written by Cheryl B as I was also looking for a pair of good walking shoes for travel and have plantar fasciitis. I appreciated that these had removable insoles as I was going to be putting in orthotics. I also was glad that she indicated she went up 1/2 size. As I'm new to wearing orthotics, this helped to accommodate them as well. I got these in light petrol/smoke blue as I tend to wear a lot of denim and navy when I travel. It was an added bonus that I recently bought a new Samsonite carryon luggage that the color coordinated with :) With these shoes and the orthotics, I was able to enjoy my trip that included a lot of walking so I was truly grateful that these worked for me.

These are great! Knew they would work on first try on. Great color, comfortable, fit perfectly. My only minor complaints are that my heel sits to deep in the show so that my ankle bumps the edges. I'll add heel support to lift them. Last thing is I immediately replaced the laces (which are a LOVELY purple!) with elastic ones and I'm very happy!

These were cute, lightweight, and the deep gray was a pretty color! But I'm normally a 10 Wide in NB, and these felt floppy and too large...perhaps the 9 1/2 W may have worked but I found another NB style, the Rush V3, also on Zappos, that fit perfect - so I returned these.

I bought these to replace another pair of NB that wore out. Unfortunately, these do not make good walking or running shoes. They are okay for errands as another review pointed out, but lack the structure or support makes more intensive activities uncomfortable.

I have a pair in grey and love them. Thought I would enjoy a pair in Black for traveling. They are very comfortable and not clumsy looking for traveling. Thank you ZAPPOS !

Good weekend shoes. Not so much for working out.

These shoes are comfortable, light and perfect for everyday wear. I love the black sole - we need more shoes with black soles please!!! I wear an extra wide shoe so will order a 1/2 size bigger on next pair. I do a lot of walking at work; these shoes provide great support and feel great all day long. New Balance is a great shoe and they keep coming up with new, stylish, fun designs. Thanks Zappos for getting them to me so quickly - they fit right out of the box!

very comfortable, lightweight, flexible

Bought these for our Disney World trip on a recommendation from someone else. Very comfortable! Runs a little small, I wear an 8.5 normally in shoes and I felt like I could have bought a 9 for a little more room. However, the shoes were wonderful for all the walking we did. Down side to this shoe - if it rains your feet are going to be soaked! These shoes are breathable, therefore they won't even keep out the slightest bit of water, which we found out time and time again in Florida. I didn't have an pain in my feet from all the miles of walking though, so I will take the wet feet if it meant I could walk the next day.

I bought these in wide after trying on the normal version in store. I love them. They are comfortable and pretty and I get a lot of comments on how nice my shoes are. I find them lightweight and easy to work an 8 hour shift in.

FINALLY - Thank you Zappos and the reviews - I got the most comfortable tennis shoes EVER! I love them out of the box. I needed something light, cushy, and yet sturdy. Something too that FIT! WOW best fit every. Thank you again, i am probably going to order additional colors, just basking in the glory of finally finding the ONE(s).

I love these shoes more than I expected. They worked perfectly for my Costa Rican trip hiking a ton in the jungles. They are very comfortable and cute; the colors are complementary to almost every summer outfit I have. The price isn’t bad at all either.

Love these! Very cushioned for all day walking. Would not run in them as they do not feel stable like my brooks.

Love these shoes! I'm a nurse and I am on my feet a lot and these shoes give me great support.
