I hoped I would like this boot for hiking. I have a narrow foot and the 10 (my standard size in most shoes) felt good. The ankle support is very uncomfortable. After tightening the laces and walking around the house for a few minutes, I realized they would not feel good on the trail. I'll return these.

The boot looks good. I however was unable to even get my foot inside to try on. I wear a 15 but other reviews said to size down one. I couldn’t even get my forefoot into the boot of a 14. They are VERY narrow and the length I would say you should go up one size from true. I held the sole of 14 to my foot and they are undersized. I wish they would have worked because they look good for hiking and outdoors. At a minimum get your true size or up one and I would recommend going with a wide.

I wanted to use this boot for hiking 14ers and doing class 2-5 rock scrambles. I have a narrow foot and the 11.5 (my standard size in most shoes) felt a bit wide, and I'd be swimming in a class 2-3 situation. La Sportivas tend to fit me great, and they're great for the narrow footed, your truly, and terrible for wider feet, at least according to surveyed climbing friends over the years. The ankle support is very uncomfortable. I have broken one ankle, but even the one that didn't break felt awkward, probably due to the lacing system. After tightening the laces and walking around the house for a few minutes, I realized they would not feel good on the trail. I'm returning these for the La Sportiva Stream GTX. I hope those will work. The Scarpa GTX are likely the best shoes, but I don't like their style quite as much. I'm also looking for an all black/gray shoe for snow days at work. The high tech lacing kinda works, but felt odd when I wanted a tight fit. If you have wide feet and thicker socks, these might work really well for you. The rubber was sticky, gripped well, and I like the tech behind the water proofing. I didn't want to test that as I'm returning, but the ideas are sound.

These shoes look even cooler in person. however, they will kill your feet. In the back, by the ankle, rubbed very badly. The tongue bunches up and rubs the top of your bridge of your foot to the point it burns a bit.
