I usually wear medium but had to size up to large because since they're pretty restrictive, the medium felt tight. I love that you can use your phone but it's kinda hard to move my hand around.

Well thought, comfortable and reliable gloves, perfect for long day activities during the winter. They're a little restrictive when moving or squeezing the hand. The wrist band makes it really easy to reach out for your phone or another item on which you need your fingers or bare hands on.

Overall these are fine, but I think they aren't as nice as previous versions because the grip material feels cheap and is slick, so doesn't have good grip.

I guess if you really think about it, they are described as waterproof not wind proof. For the amount of money I spent. I thought they would keep my fingers warm while riding in the snow, they don't. Wind gets right in there and your hands get cold within just a few minutes.

I had a similar version from 2012 which I lost so I bought these. Just as good if not better but much tighter than my old one. I have very average size hands. Finger length was good but the palm area is a bit snug. I'm keeping it. Hopefully it'll stretch out a bit with continued use.

I paid extra for gift wrapping and having a tag placed and got neither with my product.

I had very high expectations for these gloves. I read all of the reviews and took everyone's advice and sized up my order to the XL. The gloves are made of a synthetic leather palm with a zip cord drawstring at the base to sinch them up if needed. As I mounted the glove I could feel the snug insulation starting to sinch my fingers and palm. I was hoping that the glove would lose up to allow a better fit for my thumb but was let down. The material that webs across the thumb and palm seemed to pitch a tent due to the lack of material. The webbing for the crotch of the fingers did not bottom out either. What does all this mean you may be wondering. Yes, the gloves are too small! :( I wish I could say that I have extremely large hands but my hands are "average" sized. I guess it was worth a shot since TheNorthFace has provided a free return label with the delivery. I will be returning these gloves with a heavy heart and cold hands.

This was a good glove for shovelling and driving but they do feel quite bulky. I had to take my gloves off to use my house key. The grips on the gloves were great for driving, even in sloppy conditions. As far as the media compatibility goes, my phone's touch screen reacted to the gloves and I was able to unlock the screen, but I wasn't able to use them to do much else- I think that since it's such a warm glove and there's so much space between the tip of your finger and the end of the glove, it's really hard to get the precision to do something like pull up a podcast to listen to while you shovel...

I was looking for some gloves to keep my hands warm as I work in a cold environment in a chiller/freezer. They didn't provide the level of warmth that I expected.

I used these gloves to shovel in -15 Celsius and after about 5 minutes my fingers were freezing. I could start to feel the tips of them going numb. I'm extremely disappointed as they're rated for very cold temps and this is not very cold weather for the GTA. I had to switch to gloves I had bought at Walmart 3 years ago which kept my hands a lot warmer. I will be returning these gloves.

I had high hopes for these gloves after conducting a great deal of research online. The first order never came. The replacement looked great and fit great in terms of width and finger length. I wore it out in -10 Chicago windchill with my own silk liners. My hands were fairly cold. Upon arriving to my destination and having my hands warm up again, I tried the gloves on the way home without the silk liners. My hands were very cold again. Further, manipulating shopping bags in these things were awful. They are quite rigid and the curved fingers are uncomfortable. I did not try driving in them because they felt too cumbersome for that....After alot of Chicago snowfall I again went out in these gloves in 0 degree temps to shovel. The shovel was extremely difficult for me to maneuver with these gloves because they're so clunky and stiff. After 10 minutes I had to come inside because even though the rest of me was warm, my fingers were freezing and felt a little numb. Resuming 15 minutes later, the same happened. They're going back. Will try another North Face product where my fingers are less restricted, and will continue layering to find a warm combo.

It took 15 minutes for my fingers to thaw before writing this review. I was out shoveling snow for 10 minutes and the cold/wind went right through these gloves. Not as advertised. . . quite disappointed for a North Face product to fail to deliver.

Within 20 minutes of being out on the slopes my fingers were ice cold and starting to become numb. Felt like the wind cut right through them. Would never buy these again for skiing, maybe outside playing with the kids they will work. Not worth the price.
