People, I can’t emphasize enough that you neeeeeed to order these shoes in WIDE if you have even an average width foot. My feet are pretty average, maybe ever so slightly wide but these shoes run so narrow that the W shoe feels normal, if not still slightly narrow. And I’m not talking the space in the shoe (which I know will stretch) but the actual footbed itself. When I tried on the medium width in the store my foot was overflowing on both sides of the footbed (think standing on the narrow side of a 2x4. So awkward. The wide feels just about right. Order the wide and if you are between sizes (I’m either a 7.5 or an 8), choose the smaller of your range. 7.5 fits great for me. Hope this helps someone else figure out the sizing on these things.

I used to wear brown women's boat shoes all the time, for years. Unfortunately, I cannot find them in brown anymore -- just this ugly "tan" color. They fit fine, but I couldn't put these on my feet in public because of the color. Manfacturer! Listen up! Bring back the nice dark nut-brown color! Just because I am a woman doesn't mean I want pastel brown!

I love these shoes! I originally ordered a size Medium which is what I normally wear, but those were very narrow and I have a really narrow foot. So I sent them back and ordered a Wide, and they fit perfectly! Like walking on a cloud!!

These are my new favorite shoes! I wanted a pair of slip on shoes to wear with jeans, capris or shorts, and these fit the bill! They were very comfortable right out of the box. I usually wear a narrow width, so they felt a bit loose, but I tightened up the laces, and they are fine. At first I walked about half a mile on my treadmill at a good clip (2.7 mph), and two days ago I wore them all morning when I was volunteering for a high school function and was on my feet almost the entire morning. So comfortable, no rubbing or foot pain at all, and no back pain, which happens sometimes when I stand a lot. I definitely recommend these!

These were a gift to replace the same shoes I gave my step-Dad before, which he wore until they fell apart. Needless to say, he’s a fan! They fit perfectly, they’re high-quality, and they’re truly functional boat shoes (tested and approved by my step-Dad)! :)

Quality great but way too narrow.

I loved these shoes and was so sad that they were too narrow. My foot is not that wide and I ordered a wide width, but they were still too tight.

Very cute shoe, but there is not enough arch support and the footbed is not removable to all putting in your own arch supports.

It's an attractive shoe. I liked that it was genuine leather. I need a size 8.

I ordered a 1/2 size smaller and wide. Fit perfectly. Comfortable and no break in period needed. Quality shoe!

The pictured shoe does not exist - received a woman’s shoe twice which had regular ties instead of a men’s. Customer service finally was able to correct error and a slightly different shoe finally was ordered and arrived largely due to that wonderful gal in customer service who was very thorough and helpful.

Living in Florida & mosly wearing sandals, I find the Docksider a great cool weather change. thoroghly enjoy wearing these & the price seemed jsut right

I’m a big fan of the Sperry A/O 2 boat shoe so I decided to try the Bluefish out. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the mixed leather and fabric look, but I have quickly grown fond of this shoe! Reasons: it looks great! My son says it looks like a great summer shoe. It may actually be more comfortable than my A/Os. It has padding in the footbed that my other pair doesn’t. Got it at a great price here on Zappos. It’s very comfortable to wear, and the quality/construction is high quality. My only criticism is that I bought the wide, and the wide feels more like a medium width, but it has since stretched out in the first few wearings to feel wide. The regular width Sperry boat shoes are narrow so the wide width is necessary. I’d like to get another pair in a different color!
