I’ve been after these for a while! I have them in the Bone colorway and couldn’t love them more. As a short girl, the heel is perfect! Wore these for a day out in Manhattan and to a show that same night and they were perfect! Usual size three fits perfectly and didn’t experience any break-in pain this time. LOVE! They’re coming along on an upcoming trip to Italy too!??

I really love the look of these boots. They do run quite large and there are no 1/2 sizes which is one reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I were either ab 8 or 8.5 depending upon the shoe. These. Are an 8 and they were way too wide. I put in a footbed which takes up enough space to make the boot fit well and give some arch support. That is the negative, they have minimal arch support and I need it. Style wise, I love them which is why I went lengths to make them fit!

Feels waterproof, but very heavy.

The size 7 was too small and size 8 was too large. I need the half size to make them work. In addition, the platforms made them a bit heavy for me.

Odd fit - a little snug in the toe area but loose in the heel. That being said, my feet are a little wide, not enough to wear wide shoes just enough to make shoe shopping not fun. I did like the sturdy sole - reminded me of docs from 20 years ago. They are very cool but a little too heavy for me.

First of all, wear socks that go past your ankle. I was rubbed raw due to wearing low socks. Many have stated these are big, that wasn’t true for me. I have a wide 9-9.5 shoe and they were tight on the sides. These are super cute and I received many compliments. I will keep them and will break them in.

i am normally a size 7.5 and 7. in Docs but i had to go down to a 6 in this boot.

I love the color and the height. They're slightly large for the size, but I'm keeping them as I think a size down would be too small. I'l wear bigger sox for the comfort and style.

I am a true 6.5 but according to the reviews and recommendations of others, I bought a 5. It fits snug but ok, if I bought a 6 it would have been too large. I am happy. I just have to break them in cause I got 2 blisters from walking around NYC all day. But it’s just how D.martens are so overall I am happy with the boots.

I'm a 6.5 normally ordered size 6 and it fit fine. I originally ordered size 5 and it was very tight and uncomfortable. Withe the 6 I fit comfortably. Super cute with socks/tights. Love the updated heel and platform vs the original Dr. Martens.

Felt a little large and my heel was slipping even though I ordered 1/2 size down. But with an orthotic they felt fine and it helped with arch support. Overall they are fairly heavy possibly due to the platform, but they don’t look too extreme (I was torn between these and the classic 1460s so I’m glad I have them as an extra inch is always good at gigs.

I loved the look of these and really wanted them to work, but there is just too much space around the ankles. It feels like they are made for different width ankles than feet. The width of the feet was ok for me (ordered a size down) but the ankles were so loose and buckled they were awkward to walk in. They’re an awesome style and I thought about buying leg warmers to wear to bulk up my ankles but it doesn’t seem practical to only be able to wear them that way. Returning despite loving the look of them.

I would have kept this but they make horrid squeaking sounds when I tried them on. They look gorgeous, sad to send them back.

These boots are so beautiful and I wanted to love them, but I have a narrow foot and I ordered my usual size 7 and they felt big in length and width. They are also pretty heavy. The toe is pointier than the original doc martens boot as well which changes the look a bit. The laces were very thin and cheap looking, but that's an easy fix. I ended up returning these and getting Dr martens Pascal instead.

I love this boots. Yes they are brown leather with a overlay of black and I'm sure with time they will scuff and show signs of wear and tear. The laces are thin but that can easily be remedied by switching out to something more sturdy. I love the style of these boots and the different riveting for the lace loops. These boots are heavier than the typical Dr. Marten boot, but that's to be expected as the sole is designed to be much thicker than the usual. My only complaint is that I completely agree with the sizing being screwy. I typically wear a size 10 in my Dr. Martens. I have quite a collection to back this fact up. This is the ONLY pair of Dr. Marten boots that I have come across where I would need a half size. The size 10 fits but it is slightly too big for me so I added in insoles to give me a little less slip. I ordered and tried on a size down (size 9) to confirm my fit, and it was snug. I was worried that it was too snug to break in as boots are suppose to have a little bit of give in the heel, so I stuck with the 10. Break in period was pretty quick. Maybe a week at max.

These run really big. Definitely size one size down. Ignore Zappos reccomended size. These are not true to size. I’m usually 7 had to size down to 6. Also they are VERY heavy. Have to get used to walking in them and it’s gonna take a while to break them in.

I usually wear a 10 in docs even though I'm really closer to a 10.5 normally and the 10 in this style was perfect. I think over time they will lace up a little tighter-- they seem a tad wide in that particular spot, but not in the soles. I expected the usual painful doc break-in period, but these were comfortable out of the box. They are rad.

Love these boots. So comfy with no breaking in needed. The problems I have with them is they run really big, bigger than most Dr. Martens. I normally wear a 7.5 in shoes, so I purchased these in a UK 5 (US 7) and they're really big on me, need to wear thick socks with them. A 6.5 would literally be perfect, but since they don't carry half sizes, I think the 6 would have been too small. They're also really heavy boots, I don't mind that, but just a heads up.

Excellent quality, with a fabulous chunky rubber lug outsole, but runs large by what seems like an entire size.

I was disappointed that the top hooks had to be laced and not open ended for quick on and off

I wanted these to work as they are adorable but they were too hard to walk in and Uncomfortable. They just didn’t work for my foot shape I think, when I walked it would force my foot forward and toes would hit the toe box. The leather is on the thinner side and doesn’t look like it would last long with daily wear.

Not the quality Doc Martens I knew in high school (late 90s). They look good, but the leather is pretty low quality and hasn't broken in after two years of wear. The brand used to be known for comfort, but I wouldn't say that's true anymore.
