These Stride Rite sneakers were purchased for a 2-week vacation in Ireland. My almost-two-year-old daughter wore them in all kinds of terrain (rural, rocky countrysides all the way to the urban streets of Dublin!), and they were great. They seemed to keep her feet dry from the daily drizzle, as well as never seeming like she slipped or skidded due to the good traction and material of the bottom sole. They were easy-peasy to put on and off (a win for all parents of little ones!) :) and she never fussed about them. We look forward to continuing to use these shoes throughout the fall and winter! Hooray for Stride Rite! (I think this is her 3rd pair of SR shoes-- and we've never been disappointed in the brand!) :)

These shoes are super cute,but the sole it very thin. I bought them for my 3 year old, but the sole reminds me of shoes for infants just learning to walk. These do not have a sneaker sole, only a rubbery plastic sole with no padding. My toddler would feel every pebble she stepped on.
