These are some of my favorite office shoes. Very comfortable on my wide feet. Streamlined look. I do a lot of walking across my campus-like office complex and these see me through and then some.

I bought these shoes over the winter because I've developed plantar fasciitis and have a lot of heel pain. These have been my pick for almost every day! They're super comfortable right out of the box, while being rather stylish. I like that they're not boxy in shape, but have plenty of room in the toe box, since my big toes curve up. I wish these came in more colors. Thank you, Dansko -- my feet have never felt better!

I rarely write reviews, but I'm sold on the Dansko Franny as a professional shoe, and I am now ordering the other two colors. I wear a 9.5 (shoe fits true to size with a dress sock). I need supportive shoes as I continually deal with sore feet if I'm not in sneakers (I am also on the heavy side so there's a lot of weight pressing down on these old, tired dogs). I own several different pairs of Danskos, but these are the overall most comfortable and well fitting. They wrap my foot well, and there's no heal slippage which is an annoying issue I have with other dress shoes. They have a very slight heel that doesn't feel like a heel, but they still don't make my feet look too big. Recommend without reservation!

Oh my! These shoes feel like heaven. Even with wide feet and a bunion they feel so comfortable. I contemplated getting the wide width but I’m very happy with the regular width. The leather is very high-quality. My feet tend to cramp if my shoes don’t have good support. I typically would buy at Clark’s shoe. These have excellent support and will carry me through the day very nicely. I think they are rather stylish. They look nice with slacks, jeans or for dress. They were a little pricier than I normally like to spend for shoes but I believe they’re going to be worth every penny.

Most comfortable show I have ever worn for walking all over and looking great! Immediately comfortable the first time I wore them. I wear size 11.5 and have a hard time finding good looking, comfortable shoes and these are it! I'm buying more.

Very comfortable right out of the box. I unexpectedly had to walk a couple miles the first day I wore the shoes. They were supportive and comfortable, no pinching, rubbing or otherwise. This is an excellent shoe for professional wear or travel.

I have been searching for the perfect shoe for about 3 years now. Due to foot surgery, weight gain/loss, plantar fasciitis, and just plain old age, my feet have changed so much over the years. I ordered various pairs of Dansko shoes and "Franny" was absolutely perfect right out of the box. There is adequate arch support, just enough but not too much heel height and a perfect toe box. I have worn Franny several times for hours at a time with no concern that I might need to take a second pair of shoes "just in case." I will definitely order a second (and maybe a third) pair to have on standby.

This shoe is delicious! Excellent quality and fit. If you are a true wide, this shoe will fit and has a little adjustment on the right side of each for a tighter or looser fit. I've been trying to squeeze my little piggies into a regular size shoe for years. No need to have pain now with a good looking shoe like this that goes great with black pants or black tights and a skirt. Work or play. I don't think they will ever wear out!

I don't remember ever being this satisfied with a shoe purchase! I wear a 10.5W shoe, and the 41 in these fits like a glove. They are so incredibly comfortable and supportive. I've gotten to the point with arthritis and tendinitis that I can't wear anything with a heel anymore, and I'm much better off with rubber soles than anything hard. But it's difficult to find shoes fitting that description that are appropriate for the office. These shoes, while not setting the fashion world on fire, at least look good with slacks - much better than the Propet slip-on walkers I have been wearing because everything else I owned was killing my feet! So far, I haven't even felt the need to add the inserts that I was wearing with the Propets. I will say that when I first put the Danskos on, I was concerned because they felt narrow and were pinching my feet a bit, but after wearing them for a day they broke in perfectly and now I feel like I'm walking on clouds. I bought these one month ago and have worn them frequently. I have planters fasciitis and posterior tibial tendonitis in my right foot, which makes for a very fussy foot. These offer the right combination of support and cushion. I wore them straight out of the box with no break-in required. They are cute for a comfort shoe, and can be worn with liners to look more like a loafer. They work with all cuts of jeans, dress pants, leggings, and skirts with tights. As with all Dansko shoes, the leather is top quality and the workmanship excellent. One word of caution: If you have a high instep, these are cut higher than traditional Danskos and they may not work for you. Other than that, I highly recommend these shoes. For me, it was money well spent.

I am on my feet all day and wanted a shoe I can wear that still looks dressy, yet doesn't kill my feet. These are so comfortable! I normally wear an 8.5, possibly a 9 if the shoe is tight. I bought these in a 39 and they are perfect. I usually wear wide, these do not come in wide, but they are not too tight. I a happy with the purchase.

I'm in love with the comfort of these shoes. Like a dream from the start. Ordered a 39 and I am generally a 9, sometimes 8.5 I have a narrow heel and average front, so most shoes withe a heel fall off. For this reason I end up wearing clogs or lace ups a lot. The style is fine for business with slacks, even with the rubber heel, and front has an interesting diagonal detail that keeps if front being too clodhoppery.

Awesome comfortable shoes!

These shoes are probably the most comfortable pair of closed leather shoes I've ever owned. They don't press anywhere. I wear them to work, which involves a lot of sitting and some walking. The leather has a texture to it, it's not smooth. The texture and the 3 stitched lines add some interest to an otherwise pretty plain looking shoe - they are in no way flashy. There is a little hidden elastic in the band feature near the top of the foot. I am a size 10.5 M and I wear a 41 in this shoe. I do notice I pronate a little bit in the heel when I wear these. The sides of the heel taper slightly from the bottom of the foot to the ground, and the back edge of the heel has a curved bottom. I think it's the curved bottom that makes it feel like I am pronating. This is a small effect, not a big deal for me. The overall fit and comfort is so remarkable, I may need to buy another pair.

These were tight across the top and a little difficult to put on. Once they were on, the fit was good and they were quite comfortable. Good arch support.

I have ordered several Dansko shoes recently and have been very disappointed in them but this one came closest to what I was looking for. I was searching for something like Dansko's DEBBIE - a bootie that had a stacked low heel and ankle-height top that would not interfere with different pant hems. Between Zappos and Amazon I ordered 4 different pairs of Danskos- 2 sizes of the Debbie, the Darbie (Amazon) and this one, the Franny. Only the Franny came close to the quality I associate with a Dansko shoe. If this shoe had a stacked heel rather than a rubber heel, I would have considered it. The shoe fit the width of my foot, but the heel slipped a little. It seems nearly impossible to buy a shoe with a wide width and a narrow heel.

These were really beautiful shoes, the material was nice and they looked sleek and professional, the heel was not too low and not too high, but the fit was narrower than I was hoping. I ordered a size 10 equivalent and the length was fine, but I doubt i would have been able to last all day with the width the way it was. I tried them on with a trouser sock, anything thicker would have been impossible. They have an adjustable velcro on the side, but it really seemed like more of an adornment than actually to adjust the fit. If they were a little wider, they would have been perfect because they felt really comfortable otherwise.

A friend has some Dansko booties that she loves and raves about how roomy and comfortable they are. I was hoping that if I went a half size up, these would be wide enough - it works for some shoes - but, sadly, not these. They are good quality and attractive, but just too tight. I don't know why a company like Dansko cannot offer wide widths. I'm to the point in my life that I am no longer willing to put up with tight shoes. Sending these back.

Very attractive shoe but ran so small I couldn’t put it on.

FIRST, need to say that I can't properly review these shoes -- to my regret, I had to return them due to being way too small. Unfastened the strap but still couldn't fully get my foot into the shoe. I say returned them with "regret" because "Franny" is a handsome, versatile shoe. Heel of just the right height and a design to look good with nearly everything, yet be considered a "comfort" shoe. Also well made and a quality product (as are Dansko shoes generally). Maybe the European sizing makes ordering the right size a little dicey for me. (However, I ordered another Dansko style at the same time--in the same size--that fit as expected and I'm keeping them.) Probably shouldn't even be asked to review shoes unworn and returned. Hence, my three stars for "overall" and "comfort." Not allowed to skip putting in something.
