I never write reviews but had to chime in on this shoe. It's gorgeous and supremely comfortable. I've been wearing it barefoot right out of the box, getting ready for an urban trip where I expect to walk a lot. I have a narrow heel but need enough width in the toe box to keep my bunions happy. I also have to manage plantar fasciitis. These shoes have it all: superb style, comfort, terrific stability and arch support. What more could a girl want? I may well order the brown ones as well...

Dansko's Franny shoe is the bomb! They fit true to size (maybe a little narrow at first) and look a lot less clunky than my regular Dansko clogs. I think I will live in these shoes. They are the most comfortable ones I now have in my closet. I have problem feet: neuropathy after chemo, arthritis, and flat feet. The arch support is perfect, the little strap makes it easy to tighten or loosen the instep for comfort, and they're light. Yippee!

I never leave reviews but I have to. I also never invest in decent shoes. I bought these black shoes in October size 38 wide. I have loved them. I spend 6-7 hours a day on my feet as a hospice nurse and finding comfortable dressy shoes is an issue for me. I have wide feet and have had several stress fractures from shoes before. These are my go to shoes. My feet are comfortable all day in them. I have an old ankle sprain and they even support the ankle well. February I bought the brown pain in 38 (not wide). They loosen up and the wides got a little too wide. The normal width feels fine too. I always waterproof them well so they last. The brown color is not as “red” in person as it is in the photo. Very happy with these shoes!

These are great shoes. I have had issues with plantar fascitis for years and I was able to wear these all day, out of the box, with a thin knee-high stocking to prevent any rubbing, and they were fantastic. The color was weird - not quite brown, not quite green - something inbetween (sold as taupe), but I will make them work. I am a teacher on my feet all day and they will certainly become my new "go-to" shoe. Will be buying more in other colors when I can. Size-wise: I typically wear a 9.5 in most shoes, ordered the corresponding size and they were perfect.

This shoe is very comfortable out of the box. It fits true to size, has arch support, and has just enough toe room.

These shoes feel like a dream -- a cushy sole, good support, and plenty of room in the toe. I think they are super cute, too. Compared to other Danskos, they are much lower to the ground. The fit was perfect, I usually take a 39 and a 39 worked. For reference my Dansko 'Janes' are a 40, that style does run a little big, but no problems here. Great shoes.

In the past, I've tried on the classic Dansko clogs and was disappointed in the fit, so I was a bit skeptical when ordering these. The Dansko Franny far exceeded my expectations the second I put them on. They're lightweight, have arch support and are easy on the back of my heel. I wish these were made in different colors. I could really use a comfortable loafer in navy.

I have a long history of foot problems as a nurse. This shoe has been amazing. I no longer wake up with foot pain. I ordered in wide and this shoe is supportive and flexible. Perfect!

These shoes are fantastic. I am a teacher and just spent 8 hours on concrete in a science classroom and my feet feel fine. Plus they are so cute. Felt 10 years younger in these shoes. Thanks Zappos for being patient with returns as I searched for a shoe to wear in the classroom. Finally, a winner!

I have been having problems with my left foot and have had to order up a half size to 10.5 which is very hard to find. I ordered Dansko Franny in black and they are such a dream on my feet! I wore them to work, went up and down stairs several times, and my feet felt supported and comfortable all day long. I like them so much. I ordered them in brown and navy blue. The perfect combination of comfort and style.

Excellent support in this shoe. I need a wide toe box and this shoe is really comfortable and actually makes my foot look slim! Good arch support and nice soft leather. Quite a good buy.

I love Danskos and these did not disappoint. They are very comfortable and look great with jeans. Very happy.

SUPER comfortable shoes! Wearable right out of the box without any breaking in. The taupe color has just a tinge of olive green in some lights. It does not go well with a milk chocolate brown color, but compliments all the other shades of brown and tan and beige in my closet.

A great new Dansko style for a dressier choice. Perfect fit without any break in time. Very comfortable.

The 38 was just slightly short and tight on the bridge/arch of the foot for an 8, but I can tell a 39 would be too big. The adjustable strap is operable but the shoe is very structured so letting it out as much as needed wouldn't work. The heel is not narrow enough and it slipped. I am sending it back. If you are a 7.5 and don't have a narrow heel, the 38 should work for you.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've put on my feet...ever. I'm 69, have neuropathy from chemo and arthritis in both feet. These are like walking on clouds. Highly recommend.

These are very pretty. Unfortunately for me, the narrow sole at the heel causes my ankles to tip inwards. Not like Dansko clogs, which are very stable for me. Will return.

I normally wear regular width in Dansko, including a pair of these shoes that are about 5 years old, but I couldn't even get my foot in it. It definitely doesn't have the roomy toe box that those of us who spend a lot of time on our feet appreciate.

These shoes are great if you’re on your feet all day or night. They lasted me a long time. I usually have to replace my shoes every 6 months, these lasted me well over a year. Great flight attendant shoes!

So excited to have found these bunion-friendly shoes! Bunion recently started and I had to get a new shoe wardrobe. The Dansko Franny and Taos Crave boot were my first purchases. I love both! The Franny is extremely comfortable with a wide toe box but a narrow heel so they don't rub my heel as a wide shoe would. The sole is flexible, which I have discovered is important for comfort (my beloved Clark's clogs are wide enough in the toe but due to the rigid sole they have started to cause some bunion pain.) They are super cute if you like a clog-like look, which I do. (Much less clunky than regular clogs, though.) And they come in navy, which is hard to find and I love to have at least one pair of navy shoes. So far I have only worn them with jeans but they will be cute with skirts as well. I typically wear a 10, sometimes a 9.5. Ordered the 41 (10.5-11) and the fit is perfect with medium-weight socks, which is all I've been doing since it's winter. A bit loose barefoot but it hugs my heel from the side so it still doesn't seem to rub when I walk. (See photos).

This shoe is extremely comfortable. I’m a flight attendant and need a good shoe for long days . It literally feels like I’m walking on air , it’s very supportive . A must have .

I love this shoe! I’ve worked walking/standing on my feet 8-11 hours, walked literally miles - this shoe has been wonderful. I choose it over my sneakers when traveling. I replaced my first pair after 8-9 months of daily punishment- the second pair was perfect too. I have wider feet with a small bunion on 1 foot the regular width works for me. It molded to my foot but didn’t overstretch. It’s a beautiful shoe and polishes up nicely. I live in a warm climate and have never worn socks with it, even when traveling. Happy feet!

These were so comfortable right out of the box! I went on a business trip and wanted something that looked nicer in sneakers but would allow me to walk a lot. These fit the bill. I was very impressed by these and by Dansko. I’ll be looking for other Dansko shoes in the future.

The Dansko shoes are made of nice, high quality, soft black leather with a slight sheen, not shiny. They fit well and provide excellent arch support. Dansko shoes are highly regarded and are the shoes that medical professionals always wear.
