This is a great shoe that is comfortable and supportive out of the box. I am true size 8. Sometimes the 38 works best for me, and sometimes it's a 39. I ordered a 39 and that seems like the right size. I have very high arches and the support is good and touches the bottom of my foot at the arch.

I typically wear at 9.5W or a 10W, but I ordered these shoes anyways because I liked the style. I first ordered in a 40, which was short. So I sized up to a 41 and they were a little tight, but I was able to get them to stretch and now they are perfect. The leather is soft and beautiful. They even correct my tendency to pronate, and overall are a wonderful shoe.

Best shoes I've found for looking reasonably stylish while accommodating my wide-at-the-front and narrow-heeled feet. Wedge makes them look less old-lady than the square heel shoes I've had to buy because me feet can't handle spikey heels. This pair (smooth black leather) is my second; I bought the grey ones first and liked them so much I came back for another color. I wish they had a rich darker brown, I would buy that as well. Very much a good every day work shoe for me (I'm a teacher, I stand up and walk around carpeted classroom for most of my workday). I like them best with dress pants or dressy jeans. If I were taller I'd wear with skirts or dresses, but as short person I prefer shoes without a strap to make leg look a little longer. If that's TMI, oh well! :)

These are my go-to shoes at work. A few months ago I wore a terrible pair of shoes that caused soft tissue damage to the ball of my left foot. These Dansko's were the only shoes I could wear for weeks after that. Whenever I'm wearing other shoes and my feet start to hurt, I put these on and I'm fine for the rest of the day. I really need to buy a second pair!

These shoes are identical to the Lanie in the foot bed, heel etc. the only difference is this one has the thin strap with a buckle and the Lanie has an asymmetrical Velcro strap. I chose the Lanie because I just like the look that the asymmetrical strap gave. But I like this one very much too. The shoe is incredibly comfortable. Good arch support, perfect heel height for lots of walking or working on your feet. They look good with pants or skirts, great with tights. I can highly recommend. I am a true US7 amd the 37 fits me great.

The fit and size is good. The only thing that could be inproved is the end of the strap is hard to get into the opening of the buckle, not sure if the buckle the The end of the edge of the strap needs to be tipped with a harder surface so it slides into the buckle opening easily. It takes some patience to get the strap to go through, as the leather is very soft so it doesn't want to cooperate very well. I have three Loralies and love them...but they are hard to get the strap through the opening of the buckle.

I have flat feet so need to wear good shoes. Dansko is one of the brands my podiatrist approved. I’ve been wearing the brand for years and they’re simply the best. This shoe is very comfortable and cute. I needed an alternative to a black flat because my feet have been giving me trouble lately. This shoe did the trick. They’re worth the price. I’m still wearing Danskos that I bought years ago so I expect these to last a very long time.

I wear Danskos almost exclusively and have for over 15 years. I just added this shoe to my collection and am SUPER happy with them. I wanted a shoe that I could wear for dressier outfits than my boxier ankle boots and clogs. This shoe totally fits the bill. There is a very slight heal, but it feels no different to me than a Dansko clog in the amount of heel lift. I have a narrow-ish foot, so the shoe fit me super well. I will wear the HECK out of these shoes. Highly recommended. Now I want the red pair...

The shoe was perfectly fit to size. I thought the materials used were well made and comfortable. I treated them with Scotsguard for extra security. I like them so much, that I bought every color. I have planter fasciitis, and this shoe has help with the support and comfort I need being on my feet all day.

I’ve been passively searching for the perfecto Dansko Mary Janes for a few years now, tried on several, and can officially say I’ve found my dream pair! They’re adorable, soft, comfirtable, easy to wear all day and with many different outfits. Loralie, you’re the best!

My new go-to work shoes. I usually wear a 41 and the fit on these was spot on. I don't need my orthotic thanks to a nice arch already built in. I was worried that the high edge of the heel cup would rub my achilles tendon, but it doesn't.

This is the second pair of Loralies I have purchased. They are great for arch support and so comfy. I have a wide foot and the medium width was roomy and did not pinch. I usually have a hard time finding a comfortable work shoe that are also stylish. These were definitely everything I have been looking for. I have low arches and if I need good arch support and stability to prevent foot pain and these shoes are perfect for me. Please never discontinue these. If I could I would buy 3 pairs at a time.

I love these shoes. I got them in black/black but will probably be coming back for another pair. I can wear them with professional dress to work on my feet all day as a healthcare provider or wear them for a night out with jeans or a dress. Very versatile but super comfortable too.

I really like these shoes for work! I wish they would make them slip resistant though. They are true leather so they will stretch a little bit which was a plus for me. All shoes are just too narrow for my foot. Although Dansko shoes have decent support, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that I can take out the original inserts and add my special orthotics to their shoes. Has made me a long time customer:) defiantly a must have!

I love these shoes! As a teacher and counselor, I’m on my feet constantly but also need to look professional. I can wear these with almost everything in my wardrobe. I will definitely be buying another pair!

This is my first pair of Danskos, so I wasn't sure about the fit. I generally wear a ladies' US size 9, but have also always worn a Euro size 40. So, since the size converter said the 39 was analogous to the US 9, I ordered both 39 and 40. I put the 40 on and they fit beautifully. Never even got the 39 out of the box. So, they may not exactly follow the size conversion chart. That's why I put that they felt 1/2 size smaller, even though the 40 fit as I thought they should. Maybe the issue is with the chart and not the shoe. Whatever, I'll get on with this review and stop blathering about my stupid feet... Pros- super comfy, a grippy rubber sole, and a roomy toe box on a shoe that doesn't look clunky Cons- the arch support is a little less than I had hoped for, but that is probably just a personal preference; the strap is on the thin side and, while firmly attached, could be uncomfortable if one is walking a lot Other- the heel is lower than it appears in the picture; I think it is maybe an inch Overall, very happy with these shoes.

The best shoes ever.

I ordered these in my normal size, 40 in red. Gorgeous shoe and gorgeous color. They are plenty wide for my wide foot and have amazing arch support. Unfortunately I have a high instep and the shoe dug into me right above my big toe. So hated to return them, but the toe box is not deep or high enough. Such a shame, as these are beautiful shoes.

I purchased the Red Burnished Nubuck in size 40 and as always, they are cushy, with great arch support and are perfect EXCEPT this style seems to have a lower than usual toe box. It cut right into the bone of my big toe and after 5 minutes of trying to ignore it, I couldn't wait to take this beautiful shoe off. So sad to send it back. I have a very high instep, so that might be the problem. I will look for a pair that has open toes, because everything else on Dansko's is just right. AND this model does not have the typical rocking walk that many Dansko's have, where your heel slips out. These stay put. So sad. :(

I have wide feet, high arches, and a bunion on my left foot. The edge of the toe box cut into my feet at first, but I was able to stretch it out with a shoe stretcher. Glad I could, because they are very cute! The rubber on the bottom makes them extra comfortable for walking.

These were the most comfortable shoes I've put on in years. Fit was perfect. For my wardrobe, I will choose a color other than red. But the red was a pretty color.

These shoes are beautiful, however, I wear a size 35, and, hoped the 36 wouldn't be too big. Alas, it is and wonder why Dansko does not offer all of its shoes in a 35. Thanks

This shoe is very comfortable and fits my narrow foot well. The style is not what I am looking for. The shoe looks large and clunky on me when worn with skirts and dresses.

I really, really, wanted so much for these to fit - ordered two sizes to try. Am sending both back :,o( Pro: They are very cute, and exactly what I wanted - stylish, classy, squishy, supportive insole, nice padding on the heel, very professional for someone who teaches workshops and needs to be on her feet for hours at a time. Con: I have what's called a "high volume foot." That means my feet are "fatter" top of arch-to-sole than average, also creating a high instep. That means the edge that goes over the top of lower instep is often too tight for me. That is the case for these, and the edge is seamed so it won't stretch out. It was true for both the larger size and the smaller size - either of which would have probably worked, frankly, had the instep not "cut." Boo hoo. And, if you DON'T have this issue they'd be a great shoe - I talked to a stranger I saw wearing them before I ordered, and she was a teacher who said she had two pairs.
