Beware before you order--these run GIANT! I started with a size 5 for my 6th grade son. They were so huge that I reordered a size 4. Well, the size 4 is also way too big. He is a 5.5 in athletic shoes (running, soccer and baseball cleats as a point of reference). These are great looking dress shoes. At least they come in 1/2 sizes unlike other Florsheim choices.

The shoes are very sharp looking. They are in fact leather. The biggest drawback is that the black color of the shoe is not ingrained in the leather. After 4 days of use (school shoes), the black coating wore completely off on the toe and anywhere where there is friction.

These are beautiful shoes and appear to be well made. My 9 year-old son's foot measures about a 3.5 but since other reviewers said the shoe runs big, we ordered a 2.5 and it is STILL big enough to slip on his foot. However, since it is pretty much just for Sunday mornings, we're going to make due by having him wear two pairs of socks for a while until he grows into them. I'd say they're a size and a half bigger than an athletic shoe fit. I don't understand why there's such a discrepancy, particularly with an established shoe company like Florsheim. I'm still excited for my son to have nice quality shoes like his daddy instead of cheap vinyl ones, for a change.

Beautiful shoes. They look like little man shoes. They run at least a full size bigger.

Great looking dress shoe but these shoes run HUGE! I highly suggest sizing at least a full size down from whatever athletic shoe size your child is wearing. I reordered a full size smaller (went from a 5 to a 4 for my 6th grader) and I am not convinced those won't be too large when they arrive either. Worth the try for a really nice looking shoe.

This shoe is absolutely adorable. I got so many compliments. My husband has the same pair and my son thought it was the greatest thing. I don’t know that they are the most comfortable shoe for a child to wear all the time but they were adorable for a special occasion and he will wear them again for that.

It was WAY WAY too small and we needed it for a wedding.

My son said they comfortable to wear for few hours. He wears mostly sneakers so of course a dress feels different. Look dress.
