I wrote a review previously and mentioned that the upper portion has a rough edge that cuts into the skin. Recently, I took an Emory board nail file and smoothed out the location that was irritating me. Only took a few minutes and now these flip flops are perfect.

I wear a 9.5 and I ordered a Women's 9 in white. It fit but just barely. When I first tried them on, they seemed about 1/4 inch short but then as I walked around the house, they were okay and no overhang. I had foot surgery four months ago and I needed a flip flop with support for my upcoming beach vacation. The Hoka One One fitness shoes have outstanding support and are the only shoes I can wear all day without needing to change shoes. So glad they make flip flops! I can wear these flip flops almost all day due to the excellent support and comfort. I plan on ordering more colors. The "white" has translucent white-ish straps and then bright white sides. Very fashionable! Very happy with this purchase.

These flip flops fit amazingly well. I normally wear Fitflops but find them to be loose sometimes across the foot. These fit snug and I can walk comfortably and fast in them. Can’t wait to see how they will work on the beach this winter.

These sandals work great around the pool. They provide excellent traction in wet areas and the rocker action of the sole becomes easy very quickly. For sizing, I have been wearing size 7.5 in shoes though I should probably start switching to an 8. For the sandals, the size 7 works perfectly for me. The one caution I wish to share is that the upper plastic is a bit rough on the edges. When I wore these out and about town, after about an hour, the edge was chaffing one of my feet. So this sandal really is more for relax and recovery or around the pool times, or if wearing all day, you may need toe sox to prevent the chaffing.

Disclaimer: Reviewer has a surgically fused ankle that eliminates all movement at the ankle, so a rocker type sole is essential for smooth and comfortable gait. Shoe selections are very limited by ankle fusion so when I find a brand that works, I wish to pass along that information. I have worn Hoka lace-up trainers for the last year, have one pair of Hoka "pool" slides, and can wear the FitFlop sandals if there is a Wobbleboard footbed. These flips by Hoka are terrific, and easier to walk in than the slides. The straps fit close to my foot so I don't have to work too hard to keep them on, which is another benefit to my gait. The cushioning is so helpful as I have scarring along the bottom of my foot toward the heel and hard platform soles cause discomfort and limit wearing time.
