Way too big. I wear 7.5, ordered the 7. Too big to walk normaly in. Had to return them

I have had my red and black recovery flips for about a week now. After reading the reviews, I ordered them in a 9 when usually I wear an 8 or 8 1/2. They fit perfectly. I bought these to wear after work and when I first get out of bed in the morning because I have plantar fasciitis and a Morton's neuroma (good times!). These flips do take the pressure off the neuroma and make walking pain free, so I can see that over the summer I'll be wearing them more than around the house.

I had to return these super-comfortable sandals, because they turned the soles of my feet and heels black!

I wanted to love these. The footbed is perfect for my very problemed feet. And I wore these for a week around my house as happy as a clam. In the end, though - as one other reviewer said, the straps are way too thin for the weight of the base. I ended up with knee problems. So sad!

I love Hoka athletic shoes and have 5 or 6 pairs. They are some of the few shoes I can comfortably wear for extended periods. I thought the sandals would be worth a try even though I ordinarily prefer leather. I usually wear an 8.5 or 9. The recommendation was to order up so I got the 9. It fit well around my heel, but there was considerable space from the tops of my toes to the end on the shoe. Also, the plastic between my toes became less comfortable the longer I wore them. The next day the space between my toes was very sore. Usually flip flop styles don’t bother me at all. On the other hand, the footbed and arch support was great. It this style had a leather or padded thong I believe it would make a big difference. I’m keeping these sandals but they will never be used for anything thing more than puttering around the yard.

These Hokas are nice supportive well-made shoes. However there is great variation from one pair to another. I ordered 2 red pair (same size) and 1 white pair (also same size). The red had significantly more curve to the rocker bottom than the white, which were flatter. (This made them more comfortable). It was easily visible when holding the shoes sole-to-sole. One red pair had uneven straps. Again easily visible when holding them side by side. Also very noticeable when trying on. So if you like them my advice is to order more than one pair to try on so you can make sure you get the quality you need.

The thing that goes between the toes is set too far back on sandal. I had about an inch of extra room on the top, but my foot was hanging off of the back. Returning and can't reorder.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I have arthritis in my foot and bone spurs in the arch area. Hokas are basically all I wear. If they made a little black dress model, I’d wear it. I love the comfort of this flip, and my foot fits beautifully onto the footbed, as long as I don’t use the thong part. I agree with the other reviewers who complained that the toe bar is set too far back on the shoe. I have very long toes, and usually have trouble finding a flip that my toes don’t hang off of the edge. In this shoe, there’s a good 1.5” between my toes and the edge. And that makes my heel hang over the back. I’d go up a size, but then I’d be wearing boats on my feet. Hoka, please reconfigure these flips! And when they’re perfect, make a few dressy styles for me (and the rest of us with aging feet) to wear with a little black dress.
