Best gym bag I have ever owned. That is the bag itself. Its roomy, functional, sturdy and looks great. Too bad the shoulder strap seems flimsy because it came without a pad.

Very happy with this bag. It's large enough to carry all my gear. The only thing I would say is that it needs a few exterior pockets for smalls such as keys etc.

I bought the small size Quest bag as a main bag for weekend trips. Some people on here are complaining about the size being too small, but the dimensions are listed in the specs. I found the size to be just fine for a 3- or 4-day weekend trip as I typically pack light. The side pocket on the small bag will fit toiletries but not shoes. The bag is great for flights on regional jets because it can be carried on even when regular-sized carry-ons need to be gate checked. Pair with a backpack (i.e., personal item) for your electronics and you'll be playing the airport game in easy mode. Probably not comfortable as a backpack itself as some have suggested, but if you've already got a backpack that's not a problem since you'll be carrying it. The overall build is sturdy and the bag feels like it will hold up well. I give it a big thumbs up.

This is a littler smaller than I expected, but it's very, very sturdy and has great compartments. The straps are also awesome!

My husband used his TIMBUK2 as a carry on for his trip to Hongkong. We decided at the last minute that he should carry on a suit, dress shirt and shoes in case his luggage was lost or delayed. His TIMBUK2 accomodated everything, plus his laptop in the top pocket. Most importantly, we ordered express shipping and his TIMBUK2 was across the country at our front door in less than 24 hours. He tells me that his TIMBUK2 is his new "go to" bag.

This was a contender of about 4 duffels I ordered. It actually came used, with a dirty sock still in it! But, the bag seemed like a solid choice for the gym. I would have returned it anyway for a new one, but I ended up keeping another similar one (Herschel) that felt a little sturdier and had a bigger shoe pouch.

Absolutely love the company, and have other bags by them. The quality and craftsmanship of all their stuff is top notch and looks awesome. People always ask me about my backpacks. So for these reasons I give the Quest Duffel 4 stars. Unfortunately the 30L size is just too small for me. It's good for a 2-3 day trip if you're a male and a light packer. Females, if you're anything like my girlfriend then this bag would be good for maybe a 1 night trip lol. I love the side zippered pockets and the top zippered pockets, they really help to keep things sectioned off and organized. I just wish they would make this exact bag in a 45L or 60L size version!

I picked up the bag for weekend trips when I need to travel. For me, saving space was important, so I opted for the small bag. It fits three to four winter outfits well. Unfortunately, the shoe compartment is so small I can't even fit my Birkenstocks in the space. I'm going to opt to use it for deodorant, shampoo, etc. Overall, the materials are great and it looks like it will hold up well over the years. I like the styling, and love that I can use it as a backpack when it will work best. I will typically be using it for clothes, but it may hold spillover equipment for photography and videography trips, as necessary.

Overall it's great. Just wish the material was a little 'softer.' The material is pretty thick/rigid. So you have less ability for it to mold to what you have inside of it. Great size/space inside.

Premier Review of Free Product(What's this?)
This bag is a great size, wide openings, good handles - but the material is a bit unusual. it is much heavier then I expected - feels like fake leather and is a little stiff, even when empty

Bag was sent to me by the store in Toronto via 1 day UPS. Been looking for a duffle like this for some time. Good looking bag that seems built to last at a reasonable price point. Initially ordered the m but it was going to be too small for a week long bag. I'm 6'7" so my stuff is big. With the large I can fit my size 13 shoes in the end pocket which is great. Thanks for the fast service!

You can fit a lot in this durable duffle bag. Lots of organization inside and out - compartments on each side. The shoulder straps are very comfortable too. If you need to carry as a back pack to free your hands, yes you can. Although carrying as pack is not as comfortable carrying it as a duffle. The duffle does come in three sizes. The duffle is a great companion for short/long trips; or gym.

This bag is great for long and short traveling. The large size might be too big for most. I am a 5'9" guy and would use a medium. My go to travel bags are the Wander Pack and the Wingman which are similar in size. The Quest Duffel felt most comfortable with both straps over the same shoulder, the shoulder strap second and the backpack method the least comfortable - though not terrible if you need both arms accessible.

I like Timbuk2 bags!! This one didn't meet my expectations. First of all, it's little too big for the gym. Secondly, the material is too rigid and that causes zippers to act rigid too.

This is a great bag with two major flaws. 1. Straps are horribly uncomfortable. I tried and tried (10 or so trips) to get used to them thinking maybe I just needed to adjust to a different type of backpack strap. I did not. I will be buying a different brand with real straps as I travel a lot and need a comfortable backpack 2. The shoe compartment is a tad small but is manageable with some maneuvering.

The large Quest duffel makes for a pretty good travel companion, it is easy to load and the "stiff" fabric allows the bag to keep its shape while you load/unload it. It has a large pocket on the outside flap where you can stash your skymall magazines. The grab handles can be used as backpack straps. But they require that you use the sternum strap that comes with it. I would only recommend that you use it like this when you are transferring flights and/or getting to your hotel. They are on the thinner side and would not really work for extended use. Ie you would not want to carry the bag with the shoulder straps for hours on your back. The grab handles on the sides are nice and thick, the big zippers look bombproof. If you are transporting a heavy load, I would recommend a strap pad.

There are many good features about this bag. It will fit under most airline seats in case there's no open overhead space. It's really light. It has many carry options. I really wanted to keep this bag. However, the shoe pocket in the small size bag is just too small to be of any use except for sandals or children's shoes. The pocket is only about 4 inches deep. I don't always travel with extra shoes but when I do I like having a separate pocket for those filthy beasts. Suggestion: Make the shoe pocket larger so it's useful and let me decide when or if I'm going to use it. Conclusion: If a separate storage pocket for dirty items is important then this is not the bag for you. If not, then it's a good value. Unfortunately, I'm returning this bag.
