I am very pleased with this as a walking shoe and hiking boot. It is waterproof, goes on and off easily, comfortable, and fits nicely. This is the fourth version of this boot that I have owned over the past several years. This one was slightly better quality than previous one. They seem to make small improvements in the product line over time. For now I plan to stick with Columbia for walking boots due to a string of success stories.

Love this boot. Warm, waterproof and comfortable as a slipper. Great ankle support, grippy treads and a lot less "clunky" than most boots.. I normally wear an 11 and ordered that size but it was tight. Called Zappo's customer support and they delivered the 11 1/2 size the next day (how do they do that???). Fits great now - did I mention that i love these boots.

Overall a really good boot. I put these on and wore them for a 9 mile hike right out of the box. It was a cold day with a variety of terrain. I took these boots through snow, over wet, snowy, and icy bridges and water crossings, and my feet stayed warm and dry all day long. My only complaint is the that one of the metal lace eyelets seems to dig into the top of my foot a little. I'm hoping this goes away after the breaking period.
