I love Merrell, but these don't fit like Merrell. Short, narrow, I was very disappointed. I loved my old Encore MJ, slip on. They were wonderful, bring them back!

comfortable but runs large

Was looking for shoes to wear on a trip to Europe where I know I'll be doing a lot of walking. Wanted something kinda cute and stylish, not sneakers. I tried many different brands and styles, and I'm going to go with these. Love the reddish-brownish color, they are comfy and although they don't have much in the way of arch support (not really an issue for me), they are wide enough in the toes that I think they'll accommodate my bunion-in-progress. lol The strap has a buckle so you can adjust the width, and the sole has some cushion to it, unless other Merrells I have, so you don't feel every stone on the ground right under your feet. True to size.

This style has a bit more cushion than recent Merrill street styles but not enough support and not enough cushion for me. There is no spot of cushion built into the outsole of the heel like Merrills used to have, even when it not a thick outsole. The cushion now is all in the insole and it is not enough for,those who need a true comfort shoe. I wish Merrill would go back to making a good street shoe with more cushion than the barefoot glove concept and and less than a thick athletic/hiking sole.
