FINALLY! An outdoor boot that in not made for husky women! This boot is actually a RARE find....a slender boot that fits nice and tight around the ankle for slender women with slender ankles that like to be warm when they are outside in the cold months!
UGG, SOREL, Mountain Horse, Pajar & North Face only make boots for women with cankles that have extra flesh to fill in the baggy loose gaps left by these companies....and where women with slender ankles will twist and sprain their ankle if you use them in the outdoors in rugged terrain. BRAVO to Merrell who make sandals and now outdoor winter boots too that fit women with slender ankles!

It's only my "first date" with these boots, so my views may change, but right now, they seem pretty ideal. High quality construction and stylish. Seem to be warm, but it's early in the season. Haven't tested waterproofiness yet, but that was key to my selection of this boot. Need to add my own arch support under the removable footbed, but that is not unusual for me. Can be worn with cuff turned up if desired (wide-leg pants). I'm picky about my shoes and boots, and these come close. I'd prefer something with a less clunky style, like the Ariat lace-up paddock boot (wore them for years but alas they are now toast), but Ariat stopped carrying the insulated version in a lace-up.
I wear size 5.5 or 6, and the 5.5 was too small, so I guess in that sense these run small, but barely.

This are nice boots, but as one reviewer noted the back of the boot feels very loose. My heel was sliding around while my toes were squished. So, tight in the front, loose in the back. Also, they are very stiff.

Wanted to love these because they're super good looking, but the fit was so weird. My heel had way too much room to move up and down, but the back plastic part on the shoe was digging into my heel. Sad to return.
