Love the look and construction of tis shoe but is runs way small. I have been a Merrel wearer for many years and they always fit true. This pair however is too tight to wear. Tried wearing them around the house w/ hopes they would loosen up but no luck. Cannot exchange as next size up is unavailable.

Not the best quality for price

After wearing these shoes for only 6 weeks, the left shoe has developed a loud squeek from the heel area, very annoying when walking. Otherwise these shoes would be perfect, wish the squeek issue get fixed in next iteration

I've been buying Merrells for a long time. This was the second pair of 11's I've bought in the past year that were smaller in fit than prior shoes. I hate this because I like to buy online with confidence that they will fit !!

Shoes are very tight. Painful to put on and uncomfortably tight across the top of the arch. Wore them for a week and they relaxed somewhat but are still difficult to put on.

Well made, nice looking shoe, but the 8 1/2 size I ordered was terribly tight! It may have been mismarked and actually an 8. I exchanged it for a size 9 which was very big on my foot, so I returned them too. Very unfortunate, but the sizes do not seem to match my feet !

I have way too many merrel shoes thats for sure.I liked the look of these however I had no choice but to return them as I found the arches too high and were simply uncomfortable.never had this issue with any moabs or other models

To start I really like these shoes, the looks and traction. They ran a bit smaller than other Merrell's I have had of the same size. I tend to use orthotic inserts and there is really little for them compared to my others. The traction is like no other on a casual shoe, aggressive, super grip and quite stable on rough terrain. Aside from the small fit, my only other complaint is after a several months of intermittent use they and finally breaking in, the rubber toe protection has broken down, is pealing away, and now looks like a shoe that has taken years of abuse. The rubber toe cap is thin, weak, and not bonded to the shoe leading to early breakdown. I love them but will not purchase again until the toe covering is improved. That said, they are like comfy slippers that look great and weigh nothing.

These shoes looked great, but ran too tight. I wore them outside thinking they would stretch out and break in but they didn't. Now I'm stuck with an uncomfortable pair of shoes.

A shame that this shoe doesn't fit like the similar model that was discontinued. I ordered the same size but the width on the newer model is definitely narrower than discontinued model. I'm not certain a 1/2 size larger will provide for a wider shoe. Maybe someone from Merrell can comment on this. Based on other reviews I'm not certain wearing them will make any difference.

I have a hard time believing this is actually a Merrell. I have never put my foot in a more uncomfortable shoe. The opening was too narrow, and the top of the heel, where the shoe hits your Achilles, felt like it was made of very hard plastic: no leeway or flexibility at all. Then, once I got my foot jammed in there and walked across the tile floor, it sounded like two heavy rubber balloons being rubbed together. I have never heard a shoe make so much noise. It's a 180-degree reversal in quality. This likely ends a long relationship with Merrell.
