I love Sorel, so this is the 3rd pair I've purchased. I was able to order an 8 1/2 previously and have them fit just fine with mid-weight socks. These are winter boots after all. This time there is no room for socks, so I'm going to send these back and re-order a 1/2 size up. Otherwise, I highly recommend Sorel.

Cute cute cute for a waterproof boot. Sadly, I have narrow feet and even with extra socks I was walking right out of these. I didn't find the tassels to be a problem. They are kind of a wine color, not what I would think of as redwood. If you don't have narrow feet, I'd recommend them.

I did not heed the reviews to order up. My bad. Sooo small that I ordered a full size larger. Too big. One half size larger was the way to go. Heel slips but that is typical for me. Order a half size larger!

Runs small, I'm an 8.5 should order up. Challenge getting on with limited opening. Returning. Nice boot, good heel height, comfortable.

I love Sorels and the fact that they're water proof, so I was super excited for this boot. Unfortunately after about a month or two of wear I started feeling something I'm the heel of one of the boots (I presume some sort of nail). I added gel inserts since I am too in love with these boots to give them up and have been fine since. The tassel detail is super cute but it did take some adjusting to keep them from dragging along the ground though.

These boots are really cute. They run a little small, though. I fit into my usual 9.5, but since I wanted to wear these as winter boots, I went up to 10 in order to accomadate thick socks and tights. They were still a little tight at first, but after a day, they were comfortable. My only real complaint is that the tassles were shoddy. After only a few wears, one of them fell off completely, another one was hanging on literally by a thread, and another one had started to become loose. I ended up removing all of them, which is a shame because I really liked how they looked. Sorel is such a quality brand, so it was very disappointing that they were careless about such a small detail.

These are very cute and I think comfortable. However you must order a half size up, in part bc the toebox is a bit narrow. Also, I ordered in different colors and I found that some colors fit nicely and others were still too narrow in the toebox, even a half size up. Weird. Still, a boot to love, being waterproof. Others have complained about the ties dragging on the ground but they are adjustable so that is not a problem for me.

These were too small. I suggest a size larger.

These were pretty cute, but I decided to return them for a couple of reasons. The tassel hangs too low and just grazes the ground, and it felt a little too narrow for my feet. I like a little more room for my toes to spread.

I really loved the look of these boots, but they felt too tight. I officially wear a 6.5 but ordered a 7 because I like boots to run a little big. These I'm going to have to try in a 7.5, hope they are more comfortable in a bigger size.

These are super comfortable. They looked red to me on screen, but they are more a warm chocolate brown. The name is misleading as the color is called "Redhawk". I was looking for red shoes, so I will have to return :(

I got the red which is a lovely deep burgundy. The boot is super comfortable and unlike other reviewers, I had no trouble getting it in. Like other reviewers - the tassels are a nightmare!! I’m constantly fighting with them and trying to readjust the straps so they don’t hit the ground. Not a great design, sadly, bc I otherwise love the boot!

returning after a month of wearing. the fringes hanging down get kind of annoying, especially if your walking briskly. the fringes would skim the ground, and now one is becoming unraveled. cute boot though. I even tried to shorten the length of strings.

Loved the look of these boots but really struggled to get my feet in. Once i started to walk in them a very hard ridge above the heel became extremely uncomfortable. Returning but wish it wasn't so!

Not comfortable because it is too stiff around the ankle.

I’m so disappointed but these have to go back. It took forever to get them on. The higher, narrow shaft combined with lack of zipper made them extremely difficult for me to get on. I do wear a 10 and when i wedged them on they felt fine but took so long trying to put them on to go out I gave up. They’re super cute and stylish and I wish they would’ve worked.

I loved the look of these boots and would definitely have kept them, but I couldn't get them on! I have a high instep, and these boots are made to be pulled on. I love the styling and they look like good quality.

The foot bed on these boots is super comfortable, and the heel height is cute and comfortable. The bummer was that I could barely get the 8.5 on (my usual size). I tried a 9, and they were too big -- I was walking out of them. I thought maybe cranking the strap down would do the trick, but then the trassles were dragging on the ground, and I was still walking out of them. It was truly amazing how much bigger the half size up was. They are super cute, and if you can make them fit, I highly recommend. Sad that I have to return them.

loved the look of these, but had to return them. I have high arches and these were impossible to pull on over the bones in my feet. I wish they zipped, because they would have been great otherwise.

There are a lot of things to dislike about this boot. First off, I have a flat foot and this boot offers excellent arch support. I can't blame that on the boot, its my foot but that alone would have made me return them. Second, it's difficult to get on as its really stiff. It may work itself out but it will be another boot that finds its way to the back of my closet because I won't want to be bothered with it. Third, its just uncomfortable. There was nothing about the lining, footbed, materials, etc., that made me want to keep it. I did buy the Redhawk which is a deep burgundy and a really pretty color. It's not red at all.
