This shoe is made of a very hard plastic and doesn't break in much at all. Combine that with the fact that the toe box is not a 4E as claimed, but more like a single E, and you have an expensive and disappointing failure of a shoe for the wide foot tennis player. Last year Asics made a wide tennis shoe and it was excellent but they stopped making it. Adidas would do well to just copy that shoe. Or Asics would do well to not stop making the best shoe available for wide foot tennis players.

This is very narrow for a 4E, I got blisters nearly instantly on both insides of my feet. Tried for a second session and was just as disappointed. Advise passing on these and going New Balance for true wide tennis shoe.

I did not get to wear these playing tennis because although they were listed as 4E wide they were tighter in width than expected. Looked and felt like a quality shoe but again did not wear outside of my initial try on while on the couch.

Nice looking shoe, but impossible to wear: it is labelled 13.5 EEEE, and it does seem to be a nice comfortable 13.5, but it is nowhere near EEEE. I was able to get my feet into them, but I think they would have popped at the seams (or I would have had severe blisters) if I had made the mistake of actually walking with them on. I suspect that they were actually a single E, which is VERY different from EEEE.
Zappo's was very good about accepting the return, and immediately shipped out my replacement shoe (completely different brand), which I received the very next day. So kudos to Zappo's, and poop to Adidas.
