I have not yet warn these outside but I wanted to share information about the fit. I wear size 9 in open toe shoes and size 9.5 in closed toe shoes; however, I tried both the 9.5 and 10 in this boot because I get really cold and I wear thick wool socks and/or toe warmers. I wore the boots around the house with thick socks and opted for the size 10 because from past experience, the fact that my toes didn't have room was a contributing factor to them getting so cold. Even though the 9.5 fit fine, I didn't have the extra room I wanted for extra thick socks and warmers. The boots are light weight, flexible, and very comfortable. I chose this particular boot for its ratings on warmth and water proofing. It has a much too bulky look to be warn casually, but it's not unattractive. I am not concerned about this since I will be using them with snow pants to sled, ski, and ice fish.

I've got difficult feet. 10.5, narrow heel and medium toes. When I find a brand that works, I buy more. The beauty of Vasque on Zappos is they identified the last. I could buy boots identical to the low-tops I had purchased. These are solid, well made, great support and WARM. Love the kicky color. They are a bit hefty, but lightweight ones weren't doing it for me support-wise. The extra shaft height eliminates any pressure on the Achilles tendon that lower boots can cause. A bit of heel slippage, but the right socks and proper lacing fixed the issue. Rain or snow - I'm ready! Thank you Vasque and Zappos.

Perfect walking boot for western New York winters. I am a 70+ grandma who walks about 6 miles a day in all kinds of weather. These boots keep my feet dry, warm, and comfortable in our winter weather. I can slog through deep puddles or snow with no leaks. This is my second pair...I keep my Yak trax on my old pair. I wear a size 7 sneakers with medium weight socks..these fit me well in 7 with medium weight socks.

Love them so far. I normally wear 8, sometimes 8.5, in regular shoes. The 8.5 fits perfectly with thicker socks. Felt wonderful right away - no break-in. I wore them for a 9-mile snowshoe up a mountain and they felt warm comfortable the whole way. No problem getting them on as long as you loosen the laces.

Wore these ice fishing and hiking this past weekend. They were great! Kept my feet warm and dry! I only wore one pair of thin hiking wool socks. My only minor complaint was the width was tight. It did stretch some after use. Would recommend.

Despite the cheesy style name, these boots are comfortable, sturdy, toasty warm, and even pretty cute as hiking boots go. I've worn them tromping around in feet of snow in ~10F weather and my feet stayed warm and dry. I normally wear a size 8.5 or 9, and after reading reviews I ordered a 9. They fit great with regular weight wool socks, snug but not tight. They are not easy on/off, but this is a feature and not a bug; if they fit loosely, snow would find its way in. Once I laced/unlaced them a few times I figured out how to make it go a little quicker by pulling the laces from the bottom of the loop. The Nightshade (purple) color is different from the usual beige/gray/black/brown hiking boots and makes me happy. I'm looking forward to more snowy adventures with these Vasque boots!

These boots are awesome. I bought them to be outside in below zero temps for hours at a time. They keep your feet toasty warm. I wear them with a light wool sock. The boots are comfortable. As far as traction on ice, they are like any other boot. Best bet for ice is something like Yaktrax. On a side note, I did wear them in above freezing temps in my car for about an hour and my feet began to sweat. When I went back outside they weren't as effective. I should've taken the boots off.

These boots look beautiful. I read reviews warning about them being small and tight but decided to give them a try. I am a true size 7M. I tried the 7 and 71/2. I could have gone with the 71/2 but the boots were too narrow and squeezed my feet. I am 5'3" and 115 lbs. If they were normal width I would have given them 5 stars. Had to return them.

Perfect boots, if only they were available a half-size larger... just a little snug over the top of my foot, and my foot is not wide. Too late in the season to find it in my size, darn it.

I finally had a chance to give these boots a trial hike today. They worked great! Comfortable right away! And warm! Thankfully I read previous reviews, recommendations, to purchase a half-size larger than normal. It could have possibly been even a full size larger, but they will work fine.
