Liked this shoe for the style. was comfortable to wear. Returning as I need a dressier shoe.

Clark’s quality has been lacking and these shoes are no exception. What used to feel like supple leather now feels artificial and almost vinyl like. I usually wear a 8.5 but it seemed too long. I probably could wear an 8 in this shoe. But they are going back because the toe box is too narrow for my foot. I have a fairly average forefoot and a very narrow heel, which makes finding good fitting shoes tricky. My past Clark’s purchases have been fantastic in this respect. But I can’t complain a narrow shoe doesn’t fit right when the whole shoe is, in fact, narrow. It’s just never been an issue for me before. A decent shoe, and the sale price makes it easier to swallow, but the quality ain’t there anymore.

Great to find shoes in stock other than "seasonal" styles. My very high arch with my custom orthotics require a full size longer shoe than my foot itself. The narrow width is still wider than my foot width. Adding medium weight socks makes these shoes comfortable.

These shoes are at least one size too big. I purchased a pair of Clarks last week in a local shoe store in a size 8 B, and they fit wonderfully. But these shoes, which are very attractive and versatile, fit like maybe a 9 B. I had to return and would love to reorder but not sure f I should get a 7 B or a 7.5 narrow.

Clarks always fit well, but these fit a smidge larger than usual? Unfortunately, had to return them...

Very comfortable but didn’t like the style

I loved the color, but the shoes looked like "pilgrim shoes," according to my 11-year old niece.

Very cute. I wear a narrow, ordered a narrow and was still too wide.

Feels cheap.

Very narrow. Once I put socks on shoes we’re very uncomfortable.

This shoe didn't appear to be very well made, as white glue was visible along the seams. Additionally, the fit was very weird, somehow being both two narrow at the front, and too wide in the hell.

Too tight on foot

I used one pair this afternoon for church and by 3:00 PM my feet were hurting. 2nd pair I put it on and they didn't feel comfortable at all.

The ankle support started so low that it was barely there. The shoe was too big, and there was a lot of heel slipping and too much uneven pressure on the outside of my feet as a result. The zipper on one of the shoes came undone while I was on a slow-paced walk around my office building. Returned the shoes because they are not practical for all-day wear in a standing job (like Clarks usually are).

Leather looks cheap and like plastic

Cute shoes, but the fit is a bit weird. I ordered wide. The toe area was too narrow, and the heel area was too wide. Returned.

The shoe is beautiful and well made but for me personally, not very comfortable. I reordered a half size larger than I typically wear and the shoe still cramps my feet after awhile. I typically wear a 9.5W in Clarks, that size was way to small so I ordered a 10W, they have been on for 4 hours, mostly while I'm sitting at work and my feet hurt, they are too tight. I'm disappointed, they are really nice looking, I will try to find a way to stretch them out so I can wear them.

wrong size, depends on the shoe sometimes i'm 7 sometimes 7.5. the 7 was too tight. I also didn't like the style. I was looking for an ankle boot in brown, not much out there right now that isn't cowboyish.

When I first tried these shoes on, they felt great. I was going to use them for vacation. The day we were leaving, I got dress and put on the shoes and they were too big on my feet. I decided not to bring them with me and when I returned home, I returned the shoes to Zappos.

I was hoping that this shoe would be up to Clark standards as far as comfort. Not so. The leather is very stiff and seems more like a synthetic than real leather. I am returning this shoe because of the poor quality of the leather.

I don't like to write negative reviews, but honestly, I don't know how there are so many "great" reviews for these shoes. I have a pair of Clarks I have to replace after almost 8 years of constant wear. No way do these shoes even come close to the quality of my old Clarks! When I slipped the Emslie on, they felt stiff, like cardboard almost. Walking in them has no give or bounce like my old Clarks. The style is awful unless you're hoping for a Pilgrim look. The quality of the leather is not good either. Seems fake. I'm returning these and a pair of Clarks sandals as well. Sad to say, no more Clarks for me.

Very disappointed in the quality of the leather. Have been buying Clarks for many years and it has gone down and down and down in quality as the years go buy. Sorry to say that as the location of manufacture changes to cut down on labor costs (presumably) the quality goes down. Too bad. I really liked Clarks.

Runs big exchanged for 1/2 size smaller. Still had heel slippage. Went down another 1/2 and could barely get foot in. 3 purchases 3 returns.
