I wasn't sure how these would do but wanted a nice looking rain boot I could wear often in the winter. They are perfect! They take some time to wear in and get ready for your ankles to get used to them but the more you wear them, they get stretched and make a nice addition to your wardrobe, very pleased with the comfort of this cute boot!

These boots are super cute. I wanted a boot that I could potentially wear for both rain and snow in the midwest (specifically Ohio). As others have mentioned, the back part of your ankle definitely hits the back of the boot, which can be quite uncomfortable if you aren't prepared for it. Because I plan to wear them in the cold, I am always wearing high socks and jeans, so it doesn't bother me at all! As long as you have something there to pad your ankle, you're fine. The insole also moves around a little bit, which has only been a problem for me once. Other than those two minor things, I love them. Great in the rain, haven't had problems with wet feet yet. Super comfy insole, and they look cute. Have received lots of compliments. Especially for the price, they are great.

I really like these shoes so far. I usually wear a size 9, but I have narrow feet. I bought a size 9, and they were a bit wider than I would like, but i expected it. When it gets cold, there will be extra room for thicker socks. I will agree with the other reviews, the back of the shoe tends to hit the back of your leg as you walk. If you wear jeans or thicker socks, it feels fine though. The height of the shaft is lower than expected, about 1.5 inches above the ankle bone. Haven't worn them in serious rain, so cannot attest to that yet, but I like the style a lot. Very warm, very cute.

Really hard to get on, felt very flat...like the sole squishes down so the tan sole is not very prominent. I want something with a more distinct sole. Still a cute shoe and appeared comfy. Returned

These would of been perfect if not for the somewhat painful piece that hits you in the back of the leg/ankle. Unbearable. Such a shame.

These were beautiful and super comfortable stepping into them. However the top part of the boot rubbed against the side and back of my leg, making it super uncomfortable to walk in. I was very much looking forward to wearing them, so I was disappointed. Sending them back and looking for something different.

These boots are very cute, and like the colors, but I had to return them. They were a bit smaller than typical, but my foot is a tiny bit wider than average. But the biggest issue I had was that the top of the boot rubbed against the back of my foot from the start. Just shortly after putting them on it was very apparent that it would rub my leg raw. There are lots of other options out there that are both less expensive and more comfortable.

I loved the look of this boot and the initial perceived quality. I was also thrilled to find I could remove the nice, fuzzy insole and insert an orthotic underneath. This added some much-needed arch support, and the shoe had plenty of room to accommodate the "lift". I loved the boots even more. However, I was extremely disappointed to find the heel tab had fallen off on only the second wear. I had seen this issue noted in a prior review but chose to go ahead and give the shoe a try, hoping it was just a one time issue. Unfortunately, it happened to me too. It is so disappointing to find a new shoe you love and having it fall apart on you the first week of ownership! The heel tabs are really necessary functionally to get the shoe on, so I'd really expect them to be more robust than this...major bummer.

Super cute style and color (navy) but the boot rubbed my ankle and cut into my legs while just trying them on for size at home. Had to return them. I suppose it may have worked if I tucked in my pants or wore higher socks to protect the skin but that isn’t very stylish and no guarantees that would work. Still have red marks days later. Too bad, they are cute otherwise!

These boots were so cute and I wanted them to work so badly but the back digs into my ankles so bad that I actually have cuts from just walking around the block. The padding and style and warmth are all perfect so if the ankle issue could be fixed, I would be a fan! Unfortunately, too painful to wear.

Wore them for a trial walk around the block w/ the dog. I like to have something I can slip on and off without needing socks, laces, etc. The back of my calves now look like I was engaged in rough bondage play. The raw-cut rubber rubbed against my calves even with leggings on. Super bummed because they're so cute and the lining is so soft. Great if you're a masochist!

These shoes are so cute and the soles are actually very comfortable. But where the back of the boot hits the heel is WAY too tight and extremely uncomfortable; I could only keep them on for 1 minute before I had to take them off. I am really sad because my favorite pair of Chooka rainboots broke last year and when I went to reorder it turned out they discontinued them, so I settled for these, with pretty poor results.

I wanted to love these since I needed them for commuting in a very rainy city. Shoe is good looking, super soft and comfy inside the foot bed, and nice quality. HOWEVER, the top is designed too high. It hits your leg a few inches above the back of the ankle with each step. It's pretty painful and a very odd place for the shoe to hit. It's pretty stiff material at the top, with a semi-sharp edge, and it felt like it could cut into the skin. I got them in black and grey, but sadly, I had to return them both. Design makes them unwearable in my opinion. Perhaps they might work better for a very tall person; I'm 5'4".

Love these boots, but after only a few months the boot has separated from the sole. Very disappointed! Looks like I’m not the only one who has experienced this.

I'm super disappointed with these shoes. This is my second pair, Zappos graciously replaced my first pair that had issues with splitting along the rubber sole line (letting water into the shoes). My new pair, I've had less than a year. I have worn them less than 10 times ever -- and am sad to report that I'm having the exact same issue. The rubber sole is pulling away from the shoe base - which lets water into the shoe every single time I wear them in the rain. The style is super cute and they are fairly comfortable -- but sadly don't do what I need them to -- keep my feet dry when it rains.

These look adorable, but are pretty terrible when it comes to functionality. Despite wearing them with socks and pants stuffed into them, they dug into my ankles. I made the mistake of wearing them with my ankles exposed and they cut my ankles up pretty bad. I'd return them if I could.
