I have long narrow feet and skinny calves, and most boot shafts slap around my legs as if I were wearing my father's fishing waders. The brands of boots that fit me best are Blondo, La Canadienne and Aigle, due to their narrower calf circumference. My first pair of La Canadienne boots were bought on sale around 15 years ago, and were destroyed when my basement flooded earlier this summer. When looking for a replacement, I could not wrap my brain around the price. However, the adage of spending money on quality is something that rings true as my former pair of boots lasted 15 years and had a classic style that did not look dated and still looked good, holding up to years of almost daily wear in midwestern fall and winter seasons. These boots are truly worth the price. They arrived today and the fit was perfect. I found a new place to store them off-season, in the enclosed dust bag and away from the elements and look forward to at least another 15+ years of wearing them.
I'd also recommend:

Gorgeous boot. Great traction. Well constructed. La Canadienne boots are strong and survive harsh winters. Unfortunately the toe box is narrow for this boot, but the size is accurate, so there was no merit in going up a size. Additionally, please pay attention to the calf circumference. This was accurate and unfortunately too tight for me.

These boots are beautiful!!! They're exactly what I have been searching for, and I have been looking for the last two years!! The only issue I have is that the left boot seems to be cut a bit smaller in the calf than the right, so I have been stretching it. I am still able to get it closed (with a small amount of difficulty - very small), but with the price, you would think the company would make sure they're more exact. I thought of sending them back and reordering, but chose to try stretching them myself.
I can hardly wait to wear them. They are comfortable with the little bit of walking I did around my house and I believe they will be comfortable all day.
These boots will look amazing with a skirt or leggings. I am not sure about skinny jeans because of the calf issue, but I am optimistic. I have a pair of suede booties that were really snug in the feet when I initially received them, but they stretched with wear and some stretching I did and those booties ended up being SO COMFORTABLE.

I had the La Canadienne Isadora boots and it was hard to zip them up past my calves if I put on 10 lbs. I'm 5'3" and typically weigh 135. Well I put on 20 lbs and bought the Grace, these puppies weren't getting past my calves at all. I typically gain weight in my legs. It was a bummer these didn't work. I LOVED my Isadora boots. But if you stress eat like me and your weight fluctuates I say don't deny yourself these boots when you're thinner, but think twice if you're at your heaviest. At least when you're thin you can stretch them out a bit.

These are beautiful boots, but the calf circumference was not adequate for my legs. Unfortunately these had to go back.

Like all La Canadienne boots I've owned, these are spectacular. Incredibly comfortable for boot that is relatively dressy (by my standards). I managed to get them at a drastically reduced price. Even then, not exactly cheap.
I really, truly, deeply wish La Canadienne would make these boots in RED. (I would even pay full price!)
Note: As with all pricey winter footwear, I took the time to treat these with several coats of waterproofing spray. I find that it extends the life of "waterproof" boots, as well as helps keep them looking good.

I'm wearing these for the first time. I am really delighted by how comfortable and attractive these boots are. The price is probably prohibitive to most people, but I suspect that the lifetime "cost per wear" of these boots will make them quite reasonable. The heel part of the wedge is significantly wider than my previously-loved Arche boots (which I had to give up because of arthritis in my ankle). These feel really stable.
I wouldn't go out of my way to wear these in snow, but the sole seems like it will be sufficiently aggressive to handle that. FWIW, I sprayed the boots with a waterproofing spray, 3 coats, with a few hours in between. I think it's worth the effort to do that, especially for suede and fine leather.

I had hoped these were as described, having a narrow calf, but in size 10 they are very large. They are much wider than the Gaetana. I am retuning them sadly. I love the heel and suede. For is terrible too. The toe box is short and narrow.

I LOVE THEM. However they are too large. I have to order a size down. I have a very narrow heel that sometimes doesn't work for boots. not the fault of this lovely boot

I've had these for a few years and I adore them. They are dressy enough to wear for special cold-weather occasions, and incredibly comfortable. I can't do heels; I need platform or wedge support like these have. Also, the heel section is wide enough to provide comfort and stability, especially for my formerly-broken ankle. I WISH THEY WOULD MAKE THESE BOOTS IN RED! The tread is excellent for snowy surfaces. I STILL WISH THEY WOULD MAKE THESE IN RED!!! La Canadienne boots are expensive but if you can afford them, they are well worth the price. (I'M BEGGING THEM TO MAKE THEM IN RED!!!!)

They were too tight in the toe bed. The boot itself looks very nice. This is the first time that I've had to return LaCanadienne boots. It's so sad because I really like them.

This is the first boot EVER that didn't fit over my calf. There was NO WAY it would zip up. I have a ton of boots that go up to my knee and my calves are fairly normal sized. I'm not skinny but not heavy either.

Reviews said these had narrow calves. They DO NOT. They are MASSIVE!
I returned them and stayed with the Gaetana.
