I love these boots. I've tried a few different styles from La Candienne and have always been impressed by the quality. Their boots are the best if you're looking for something totally waterproof but still very chic and work appropriate. This particular style doesn't disappoint. They look refined, but they are just as reliable as those bigger, bulkier snow boots by Sorel or Ugg. I wore these trudging through some pretty deep snow and there was absolutely no leakage. I believe they're definitely worth the cost and are built to last. They're also much lighter than regular snow boots, so you don't feel like you're dragging weights around. I find that the round-toe La Canadienne boots I have are true to size, but these more delicate styles, I think, run a half size small. I'm usually an 8 but ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfectly with thick socks.

I've had sever pairs of La Canadienne boots and have loved them all. Although very expensive, I've have always found them to be worth it. I couldn't wait to receive this boot but was very disappointed with it. It's simply not that comfortable. Perhaps it would soften up after being worn for awhile, but that's not a risk I want to take for $500. The style is cute but not fabulous. The side zipper is a nice touch and makes them easy to get on and off. I'm sending them back and will try again with another La Canadienne style.

I knew these would be good but I was more impressed than I expected. I always wear an 8 in La Canadienne (while I'm an 8.5 in most other brands) and this shoe was no different. I got "Dark Espresso" and it's one of those magic colors that appears brown when you wear brown, charcoal when you wear black, and even raisin when you wear purple so it's extremely versatile. The soles are superb...nubby and "sticky" enough for wet and slushy sidewalks when you don't want to be an a true snow boot. I've worn these almost every day since I purchased them a couple of weeks ago and don't have a single blister or anything troublesome to report.

I'm really tough to please, but I love this boot. It did take me a second try to get the size right. I normally wear a size 7B, but my toes needed just a little more room, and I was happy with the fit of the 7 1/2. The heel doesn't slip, which often happens with my slim foot. I wanted the smooth leather, but it was gone, so I settled for the suede. At least they are waterproof, so I hope that helps with the salt in this next Minnesota winter. La Canadienne makes my favorite boots.

My size isn’t available, so I ordered 1/2 size up. Unfortunately too large. Not loving the style enough to hope my true size comes back in stock.

Loved the looks, but the almond toe was too narrow for me by the end of the day. Loved my Palminos so much but can’t find them in my size. May just hold off.

I like the style as I was looking for a lace up with a zipper. These are cute but I found the Palmina better which I purchased. This style I returned. The almondish toe I felt would bother me at the end of a long day as I have experienced in the past. The heel was just a little lower than the Palmina as well. They're cute if you want an almond shaped lower heel bootie. You can't go wrong. I just found one I like better.

Meh. Not in love with this boot. I own another pair of La Canadienne boots that fit me perfectly. These are more narrow and snug especially throughout the toe box. It is not possible for me to wear these with socks. Also, the boots are short - I expected them to be the same height as my Taos, Naot, Rockport but they are more of a bootie style, they just reach my ankles. And another thing, now that I'm on a roll here.... the suede it worn in places around the heel as though they were worn. Fresh out of the box I would not expect that unless they were worn, or, the wear is the result of shifting in the box. La Canadienne makes a beautiful boot and these will be lovely on the right foot just not mine.

These are cute, BUT.... I have two pairs of older lace-up La Canadianne boots which have lasted forever and I love for style and comfort. I wanted to get a pair of lower heeled lace up boots in suede instead of leather so I purchased these. I wore the boots around the house for an hour and they felt great. However, the first day outside I found they had stretched out, were too wide no matter how much I tightened laces, offered minimal support, were too heavy and uncomfortable. I can't return since I've worn. A big mistake purchase.
