Very snug at first, but loosened up after first day. Still comfortable. VERY light, and really good cushion. I'd say "light" arch support. It's there, but not much. Overall though, after a week with them, at a stand up desk (standing 6-8 hours a day), I'm very happy with them. Laces are very short, just enough to tie, probably should skip a set of holes. Thanks Zappos! (And Joe rules!)

My 12 year old son loves this. He said it is very comfortable and he loves the style. This is his 2nd pair of UltraRange.

This particular model of the Ultrarange line fits TRUE TO SIZE. The Rapidweld and 3D models run small and you should order a 1/2 size bigger. I tried on both the Rapidweld and 3D at a Vans store, so I ordered size 11. When these came and I laced them up, they were too big and I’m exchanging them for a size 10.5. The toe box construction on this model is different than the Rapidweld and 3D, which makes these fit 100% true to size. If you get Rapidweld or 3D, definitely order 1/2 size bigger, but not these.

These fit me great, I ordered 6 1/2, I wear an 8 in womens. They're perfect and fit like other Vans I own. The mesh toe is nice for warmer weather. I had read some reviews about the sole falling apart but mine has held up well - the whole shoe has really. I'd purchase these again.

True to size, however,i thought these would be something i could work in. I worked in them, and after a bout two months the rubber attached to the foam bottom began to peel off and flap around, leaving the foam exposed allowing it to slip and slide on slippery floors. if you just need a tennis shoe, these are that kind of shoe. but if you need something more durable, i'd look elsewhere

The Vans Ultrarange line have a very narrow cut and a long shoe in proportion to the width. I usually wear an 11.5 Nike and the 11.5 Vans Ultrarange were too narrow for my foot. I sized up to a 12 and the shoe fit but looked very long compared to my other sneakers. Want to love Vans - the style is great and the old classic shoes fit me well. This new version is a disappointing cut.

full size smaller. I wear a 12 in most athletic shoes, including Vans and my toes was up against the edge. It is a little narrow in the toebox. Def more narrow that the Old Skools.

I don't normally like to buy shoes online. I was stoked to get this pair as I've owned Vans in the past, and the pictures of these looked really cool. When I got them, I was totally let down. The color variation on the cub/black was not as it appears in the pic. It just seemed like one drab color. The material felt cheap, and they were very lightweight. I guess I was expecting something a little more substantial. Disappointed enough to send them back.

Just once, I would love a shoe/clothing company to maintain consistent sizing. I have owned a dozen pairs of vans in my life, and they've always been the same size. i ordered the same size for these and they were much narrower, and a 1/2 - a full size smaller. Frustrating.

Too narrow. Nice styling, but way too narrow.
