I was really excited when I got my new lanyard. It is definitely sturdy and cute in the different patterns. I was disappointed, though, as neither of my car keys (the big fat black kind) fit on the key ring! The key ring is VERY thick, and I only have 2 house keys and 1 of my work keys that actually fit on the key ring! I am ending up using the lanyard for my extra set of my Dad's housekeys, but can't use them for my own. I would recomment you try your keys before you purchast this product!

I bought this lanyard when it was new, back in the fall, in the Provencal pattern. I liked the idea of the breakaway clasps where I could hang my lanyard on my bag when I didn't need it, but after about two or three weeks of using it with my keys for school one side of my clasps broke, making the clasps and the lanyard completely useless. I made a quick DIY fix and broke the other side and looped an extra VB ring to fix the gap but I was upset that the whole reason I bought the lanyard had broken in so little time. I love VB but this just wasn't up to the standard of my other lanyards.

First purchase I got. I've had other lanyards before and nothing happened. Not sure what I'm allergic to but my neck broke out after only wearing it for 3 hours.

This lanyard was purchased to replace a strap on my Crossbody bag because you do not sell replacement straps you should consider this matter and offer your customers replacement straps for purchase Otherwise customers are left to use off brand straps that do not represent your product thank you

Not made like it used to be and the latch is in an inconvenient place

My lanyard was sewed incorrectly. So it's either crooked at the bottom not showing the ID correctly or it's twisted behind my neck and very uncomfortable. I've had at least 8 of these in the past and those were great. This one slipped through quality control

clip on this comes open when it shouldn't. Afraid daughter will lose id wallet.

The snap broke the first time it was worn.

broke immediately took so long to get here didn't want to order a new one so i wasted money on practically trash

My youngest son purchased this for me for Christmas. Of course I love using the gifts from my children and was excited to have this for school and when I go shopping. At school I use this with my classroom keys and ID and shopping I attach my ID wallet. Unfortunately after a few weeks of use the metal clasp broke. Assuming It was just a faulty clasp and probably my fault for being rough with it I purchased an identical lanyard so my son wouldn't know I broke it. Well after 3 weeks of using the new one this one broke exactly the same way. I have been buying Vera Products for over 20 years now and this is the first product I am extremely dissapointed in. I will contact the Company and if they are able to assist I will definitely update my comment.

Very cute design on material but the metal hook that would hold a credential or ID card broke within 6 months.

I got this so that I would consistently wear my badge at work. The spring broke less than a week after i got it and now it is useless.

The plastic clasp broke after 3 weeks after my purchase.

With any weight the clasp breaks away too easily. Daughter wears it around her neck with DL, debit card inside along with cash and some coins. It has come off several times.

Poor construction. Does not clasp tightly and comes apart. I guess that why it's called BREAK AWAY..because it DEFINITELY breaks away!

Metal Clasp broke within three days of purchasing.

The spring in the clip broke within two weeks of having it. I expected something so expensive to be a higher quality. Very disappointed in this product.

I purchased this item as a gift and should have heeded the other reviewers. The key hook broke after just 2 days!! I was very embarrassed. Horrible quality and surprising that Vera Bradley has not reviewed these comments and stopped selling this item. It obviously has a known problem. Too bad since its quite cute and useful. Buyer beware!!

I purchased the breakaway lanyard in Ribbons after seeing it in a Vera Bradley Liz on Location video from the Vera Bradley iPad app. In the video, the push-buckle is advertised as a safety feature that breaks away from around your neck when you tug on it. I work at a hospital and figured this would be a stylish way to carry my hospital ID around my neck with the added practicality of being easily torn away from my neck in an emergency where I would need to remove my IDs quickly. I've tried several times and the push-buckle breakaway feature simply does not work, even when you really pull very hard! It's not much of a safety feature at all. I should have just gone with the regular lanyard and saved myself a few extra dollars and the disappointment. Ribbons is a gorgeous pattern, however, and supports a great cause!
