My son has a very chunky feet, he's supposed to be a 7.5 but we got him an 8 w and this fit him perfect! With his old shoes he kept falling but we realized they were pinching the top of his feet. Seems like the only shoes that fit him are stride rite wide shoes. He will actually look for these shoes when it's time to go out, they are sturdy yet soft for a little give on the top of his feet. Buying his second pair today!

The fit on this shoe is as expected. It is true to size. Very stylish as well as comfortable and functional. Exactly what one would expect from Stride Rite. However, let’s be clear that this is not a shoe for the playground, sandbox or mud. I have bought him a pair of athletic shoes for those activities. He wears these shoes when going to church, the zoo, aquarium, movies or shopping. These shoes pair well with his outfits for those occasions.

This are the most adorable shoes! Look like little skater shoes on my 18 month old! He loves them! Wears them all day at daycare and seems to not mind at all!

Bought is shoe in grey/blue for my 15 month old who wears a wide width. Love this shoe! Love the color, easy to get on, and all around well cushioned.

Stride rite shoes are great shoes. However, I have seen my son struggle to put these specific shoes on. The reason for that is because the velcro strap is not as flexible to move and the tongue of the shoe seems short. Overall, it is a comfortable and soft shoe. My son wears these shoes all day and doesn’t complain that his feet hurt.

This is our second time purchasing this shoe (my son outgrew his first pair). I really like the classic design and it goes with a lot. My son seems very comfortable in them. I only knocked off one star because the stop of the shoe seems to bunch up after awhile, it happened with the first pair and I'm seeing it with the second. It doesn't impact the fit of the shoe but does make for a less attractive finish.

While this is the second time ordering this shoe, there are some design issues that I wish Stride Rite would fix. Most Stride Rite shoes Ive ordered over the last decade are not built to withstand toddler/elementary school-aged children. The toe box never lasts. Spending $50+ on shoes (×2 for my Irish twins) can become frustrating when you have to replace them often because there are holes near the toe area. Also, this time around my children developed blisters in the area where the corners of the shoe's tongue hit the foot. I only buy them because they are one of few companies that offer XW sizes and more velcro options, since my children can't tie their shoes yet. Shoes look great in style, but as of lately the quality of Stride Rite has suffered.

These are very cute on my kid and they seemed immediately comfortable. But he played in the mud the second day he wore them and when I washed them with water and let them air dry, the color completely faded. When he played in mud again a week later, they faded even more and now they look like the oldest most beat-up shoes ever. So I’d say don’t get these if your kid is going to wear them for play shoes.

This shoe has worn out much faster than any other toddler shoe I have purchased. After just a few weeks the whole shoe looks worn out. Cute style, but disappointed in the longevity of these shoes.

The elastic over the top of the foot didn’t allow my son to put on the shoes without my help. Ordered the wide and shoes are still too small. Returned!
