I bought the coat for my daughter and she is very happy with the versatility of the jacket.

I love my new Columbia Carson Pass coat! It is replacing a 10 yr. old beloved EMS coat . I feared nothing could be as warm, but this one is great. With the new technology, it is lighter and less bulky than my old one. I mostly love how warm it is without being heavy! I bought the chalk color because I decided to be daring and am so glad I did! I'm 5'5 143 lbs. and needed to switch out the medium for a large because it was tight across my pandemic belly. I love the thumb sleeves and double pockets, a zippered pocket is my basic necessity for keys and phone while hiking with my dog in the coastal winters. There is considerable detailed construction on this jacket with elastic cinches, sleeve adjustment snaps and zippered hood. I just love the leather tab accents too . Great job by the designers of this perfect jacket!

As someone who does not like cold weather I'm absolutely thrilled with this coat. So far I've worn just the inner layer on moderate days (40-50 degrees) and it has been more than sufficient to keep me warm. I've worn both layers on colder days (25-30 degrees) and it has kept me warm even while standing outside without even moving around. I love the fact that you can separate this out and it looks great either way. It's really easy to put together and take apart, which I was worried might be a pain, but it's not. The hood is great because it fits without sagging over your eyes, which is a problem I always seem to have with hoods. But this one sits really nicely and secures well. I love the pockets on both layers, too. When I've worn it out walking, it's been quite warm. It has a nice shape, too, so I don't look like a box. And it's roomy enough to be comfortable with a sweatshirt without feeling like your arms are in a vise. I'm 5-3 and it sits below my hips so it's nice for keeping me warm but doesn't restrict moving or sitting. I got the dark blue and it's a really nice deep color. I would buy this again in a second.

I just opened my shipment an hour ago and wanted to share the good news. The Elk color is beautiful--as many others have said. This is a garment with serious construction; all of the tabs, elastic cinches, pockets, zippers. I am so excited to wear this. Full disclosure--I have not worn it yet and I am not an active winter outdoorsperson; I ordered it for what I have been told could be a cold winter in Portugal where I just moved. Hats off to Columbia for their vision and execution in designing this great jacket/jackets.

I was hesitant on buying something so expensive, but this jacket is definitely worth the price. The inner part can be worn by itself as a fall coat. I'm 5'2 and weigh 135. Bought the medium and it fits perfectly. I love the form fit. I would recommend.

After much researching for a long boys jacket we gave up and ordered him a women's one. I bought this jacket for my 12 year old son in a size XS. He weighs 81lb and is 5ft tall, the jacket is a good length and ends mid thigh. The hood is soft and furry, and the insulation is perfect for spending the day outside, he particularly loves the built in wrist warmers and already has plans to customize!

Love the versatility of this jacket. Great for cold and rainy weather or you can take out the inner coat to wear for lighter days.

Columbia clothes, shoes and coat are the best. Has never failed me.

We are planning a trip to Alaska in August/September and I needed a jacket that could be versatile for layering, waterproof, big enough to add warmer clothes underneath, and offer protection from different weather issues. This fits perfectly (I ordered a Small - 5' 1", 135 lbs), is stylish, versatile, good quality, and can be worn 3 ways. It cuts down on the amount of clothing I'll need to take with me. Now...if it fits the weather in Alaska in late summer, it will be the perfect jacket!

I love it overall... the only thing that I will say is that it's a bit difficult to use the zipper...

I have only worn the inner shell so far and I love it. It's perfect for the spring weather in the northeast. It fits true to size and I love the length because it covers my long cardigans.

Very happy with my purchase. I really like that this coat isn't super heavy yet still keeps me warm. I am 5'6 155lbs and I ordered a large. I can fit my thicker Lululemon scuba hoodies under it. I haven't gotten to wear it an entire Michigan winter yet but we did get snow in March & I felt nice and warm. Features I like: -2 zippers so when you sit you can unzip the button zipper -unique pastel color -lots of pockets (zippered & button closures) -easy to wash (& washed well) -easy to take apart & put back together the shell & lining
