This is great for cold weather when you don't need the benefits of a large parka.

My boyfriend loved this coat!! Great pick for even a 50 year Old man!! It's superclassy and so warm. Perfect for a football game or a snow storm.

I bought this for my son per his request. He is a very busy, business man, who travels frequently. Living in Chicago, he needs the warmth, yet being in airports and on planes frequently, he needs compactiblility. Being a young businessman, he desires style and this jacket meets all the criterias.

I bought this jacket Friday afternoon (12/18/15) at the North Face store on 73rd street and Broadway on the upper west side of Manhattan. I was on the fence for a few weeks about buying this jacket because, quite honestly, I did not like the look. I always felt that this jacket style looked like a garbage bag but I wanted something light weight and my EMS fleece jacket was not going to protect me in 30 to 40 degree temperature. The deciding factor was receiving a North Face $20 coupon via email a few days earlier. The store where I bought the jacket had limited color selection and size, I suspect because they were selling well. I decided on the TNF Black color and size Small combo. I put my EMS fleece and Nike jackets that I wore into the store in my back pack and left the store wearing the Thermoball jacket. I work the jacket all weekend when the temperature varied from the low and upper 30s. The wind chill factor made it feel like 29 degrees at times but my chest, neck, and arms never ever felt cold. I am completely sold on this synthetic insulated technology. Thanks North Face sales guy for being patient with me while I tried a several jackets and also for educating me on the technology.

It is great jacket for the Northeast. We have several now and the vets too. The vests are great for layering with warmer jackets. I just love this product and cannot say enough about it .

Bought this as a gift on line and loved the ease of ordering and service. Had it shipped to a North Face store and was notified of all shipping and delivery dates. What a great service!

Use it for causal coat. Where to bible studies even church!

My husband wears it over his dress clothes when we go out at night and it looks good and keeps him warm.

I'm never one to write a review, but this jacket is great! Needed an upgrade for my hikes in the winter in the catskills and wanted something with a bit more insulation as a mid-layer under my various guide shell, but something that will also work great as a stand alone. I bought and returned 4 different jackets between TNF and competitors because I was not 100% satisfied. I couldn't believe how lightweight and compact this jacket is. Great for through hikes and camping, and taking on cross country trips. Looking to purchase another with the hood. Like all North Face products, Highly recommend!

I bought this to help keep me warm when I don't need the heavier jackets. But I need some insulation so just leather won't work any more. So far this jacket is great!
