I use it as a light jacket, and under a ski shell jacket for extra warmth.

I love this jacket. I originally had an earlier version but when I leaned against a freshly painted wall I was unable to get the jacket cleaned. I was devastated and searched the TNF website and found this jacket. I think this jacket is even better than the original version. Way to go North Face. Keep up the great work.

Excellent for insulating layer under a quality shell jacket. Looks great just for casual wear in cold or cool weather.

Have 2 upcoming trips were the weather will be worse than San Diego and this lightweight jacket should hold its own in the cold temperatures without taking up a ton of space in my luggage.

Bought This jacket a few years ago. It is my go to jacket for just about every activity. Was pleased to see it on sale and immediately bought my second one.

I use this for so many different activities! It is my favorite piece of outdoor equipment due to warmth, weight, compression size, etc. Layered under a windproof outer jacket, it provides all the warmth I need. I layer it under my motorcycle jacket, raincoat, etc. It is perfect for an outer layer for most other pursuits. They synthetic fabric allows me to wash it at home. I can't say enough good about it!

Great lightweight jacket. Stores into its own pocket for accessibility. Haven't seen it in the rain yet but fees should repel some wind. Perfect for the spring temperatures.

This is a great jacket - super light, fits perfectly, especially the waist, and can be dressed up or down. The only thing that I'm not crazy about are the stretchy sleeve cuffs, which can make the end of the sleeves puff out a bit. Nothing huge, but just a small personal inconvenience.

I switched to North Face after being a Patagonia customer for more than a decade due to the company bringing politics into their sales scheme. I was searching for a jacket like the Patagonia Nano, and what I found was a better jacket! The North Face Thermoball is stylish, warmer, and just as packable, and more wind proof. I'll be looking into more North Face products in the future.

I work in an outdoor/ski/bike retail shop. I know my gear pretty well. I'm a huge enthusiast of the TNF Thermoball Eco jacket! I've extensively used the Patagonia Nano Puff jacket prior to purchasing my TNF Thermoball Eco jacket. Certainly the Nano Puff jacket has a legitimate place in this market. But for me, the Thermoball is hands down my choice for a synthetic insulated. Here's why. My primary complaint about the Nano Puff is that is seemed to let me down about 5-8 degrees too soon. In comes my Thermoball Eco. It perfectly fills that void, keeping me warm and comfortable for an extra 5-8 degrees colder. It also serves as a great mid layer under my TNF Sierra Peak jacket and my Summit Series L3 hoodie. I'm delighted with this Thermoball Eco jacket!
