I purchased this jacket as part of my college son's Christmas gifts. First of all, I can hardly buy him any piece of clothing that he actually likes. He not only liked this thermoball jacket, he LOVED it! He grew up in Texas, and we don't get too many "blizzards" down here; however, he is attending his first year of college in northern Oklahoma. He came home for Thanksgiving and said, "It gets COLD up there. I need a coat." He requested something from The North Face Company, so I allowed him to make his selection. He chose the black Thermoball Hoodie. I had it shipped to him at school and he LOVES it! It's warm, fits well, in style, and lightweight...well worth the money. I'm one cool mom! I was looking for a winter coat that I could wear to work on the weekdays and still wear on the weekends- this coat is it! It fits great, not too big, not too small. It's warm, but at the same time the lining is cool to the touch- just how I like my coats. I highly recommend this coat.

I've been very pleased with this purchase, and the warmth and comfort it has brought. The thing I noticed right away about the jacket is how lightweight it feels. It's absolutely stunningly, featherweight! I was unsettled at first, as I thought this jacket would not be able to tolerate the colder temperatures I intended on wearing it in. So far, however, it's performed admirably on cold (20-30 degree) football Saturdays and when walking the dogs atop a cold and blustery reservoir! Additionally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention, I've received numerous compliments on the style and look of the jacket! Very easy on the eye's, if I do say so myself. I'd like to think it's the contents the jacket contains, but I know better. Thanks North Face.

This is the third Thermoball to enter our home, and it's another winner! Got the bright red, hooded version for a young teenage boy, and he loves it! Love that it's so lightweight but still warm, and the color is great! Can't say enough about the Thermoball...wish we all had them!

this jacket is very warm for being so light. is best used as caual wear in temps down to 40ish. is very stylish and can be packed into a small ball. hem closure helps retain heat. hood adds nice bit of warmth

This is one of the best lightweight warmest most styleish jackets I own. I use this jacket on my morning run in the cold November mornings of New York. I wear a light thermal shirt underneath and it keeps me very warm. This jacket is extremely breathable also. You can feel the moisture of your body escaping but the warmth stays trapped. I let my cousin try this jacket on and she noticed that my body warmth was trapped in the jackets pockets and once she put it on she felt my warmth. Even in light rain or wet snow this jacket keeps you dry and the thermoball technology does not loose its warming effects unlike down. I really do believe that this thermoball technology is what is going to take over / replace down. I have a 800 fill down jacket and altough it's warm in the cold, once it gets wet the jacket is useless. I can't wait to keep putting this jacket to the test and experiencing the amazing qualities of the thermoball technology. Thank you north face for creating such an amazing versatile jacket for any occasion. Oh and did I mention it's very stylish and the girls complement me on it every day ;) !!!

I use this jacket for casual wear during the winter season. Keeps me warm, and is windproof. It's a very skinny jacket, but does the job well. I really like NorthFace and this jacket just reinforces my opinion. It's kind of on the expensive side, but is worth it on the long run.

While hiking this is an amazing hoodie to keep me warm or protected from wind.

I am very happy with the product

This was a gift for my husband Jim who is an avid marathon runner and athlete. We ski with our 4 kids every winter and The North Face is our only option for ski wear. We love it all! Whether it is 25 degrees or 25 degrees below, we know we can still go ski and be warm and comfortable!

This is a super warm/ lightweight jacket. I love it. Perfect for hiking.

have had mine only 2 days. took 50 degrees no problem. will take much colder temps if yer active. surprising heat from very lightweight jacket. insulated attached hood a big plus. lack of bulk makes movements effortless
