Believe the reviews. Ordered one size up and my heel is at the edge.

I've been obsessing over Gucci Princetown loafers, but can't justify spending $700 for a pair of shoes, so I went looking for a reasonably priced dupe. I was willing to go up to $200, but then I found these $60 Steve Maddens and fell in love. The leather is nice for the price, and the shape of the shoe is flattering. I sometimes struggle with backless shoes flying off when I walk, but these feel pretty secure on my medium width feet, although I've had them slip a couple of times. Not a deal-breaker. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. But I need to address the wonky sizing of these shoes. Just for reference, almost every pair of shoes in my closet is size 7.5, including my Steve Madden Troopa boots. I wear size 7 in both Converse and Dr. Martens. After reading that this style runs small, I ordered them a half-size up in a size 8, and they're perfect. (FYI: Gucci says to order a half size up on their Princetown shoes, too!)

Thanks to previous reviews I ordered a half size up. I normally wear a 9 and sometimes an 8 1/2. I purchased the 9 1/2. The fit is perfect and comfortable. The bit detail makes a little tink sound when I walk but not a big deal.

Worked for 9 hours in these and didn’t hurt my feet. They run super small though... I went half a size up but should have gone a full size.

I love the style as it looks similar to the Italian style for $600.00 I want. I usually wear a 7M. Ordered 7.5 as I know Steve Madden runs small. Still too small. Replacing them with an 8M hoping that works.

Beautiful shoe but runs WAY TOO small!! I had purchased the plain leather ones last year in a size 8 and ordered the croc ones in a size 8 as well. Exchanged for an 8.5 and it is still way too small! But I will definitely exchange to a 9 because they are just way too pretty!

I would buy a half a size larger simply bc I don’t like my heel to be right on the edge of the back of the shoe, if u are fine with that then buy ur normal size. They are really cute shoes and I love them.

I really liked them a lot but they the size 10 were too small and they don't come any bigger. : (

I'd been looking for a mule to wear in more moderate southern winter temps, and fell in love with these. The leather is so soft, the price point is great and they look good. My problem is with the sizing. I normally wear a 9.5 in Steve Madden sneakers and flats, but these were very small. I needed to go a size and a half to 10.5 which isn't available. Too bad, it's a cute shoe.

I initially ordered a half size larger based on review. But, I had to return them for a full size larger than my usual size. They are just barely big enough, even at a full size larger. Otherwise, these shoes are beautiful, soft leather and are a great classic style.

Love these shoes! They do run half a size small. One thing though the liner on the inside of one of the shoes came lose and is now bunched up under my toes. A bit uncomfortable

I wish I had listened to the other reviewers I have other Steve Madden mules, always an 8 1/2 so ordered the 8 1/2...too small had to send back for a 9

These are so cute and seem pretty comfy upon trying them on in my house but they run tiny. I'm a pretty true 7.5, SOMETIMES 8. Got these in the 7.5 and they are way short. If I shove my foot all the way into the end of the shoe, my heels still hang over the back of the shoe a little. If I walk normally, more of my heel hangs off. If you're between sizes, definitely size up a half size. Consider going up a full size.

SIZE UP a full size. I am a true 7.5 and needed an 8.5 at least. I have medium to wide feet and these were comfortable they just ran really short in length. The style is really nice and the leather is quite soft. The hold hardware does clink a little when you walk but overall I would recommend these.

These are beautiful and seem incredibly comfortable but run a full size small! Sad to have to return them.

This is such a cute shoe but I’m so disappointed. It feels like plastic. They sadly are going back.

Almost perfect. I really wanted this particular style of mule because it resembles the Gucci style and I like the full coverage on top of my foot. However, the top of the tongue cuts into my ankle when I walk and I’m not sure this will give much because of the man-made material. I love the look and style of this shoe and hope I can find something similar.

Love the look, but just didn’t hold up at all. Scuffed up after only a few times! Very comfy. Fit is a half size larger than my usual, even in other Steve Madden shoes.

This shoe felt small. I have high arches and shoe did not give any arch support.

The shoe was great except the tongue was too long for my foot (the top above the decoration)

I'm normally a size 7.5 in most shoes, but these were way way too small even though i went a whole size up. I originally ordered these in an 8 and they were too small so i reordered them in a size 8.5 in black along with a white in size 9 because they didnt have an 8.5. The 8.5 was still too small. The 9 fit perfectly. Guess i will be only keeping the white even though both colors are so cute. Dont want to have to keep on dealing with purchasing and returning.
