Awesome shoes

Fits well. Good option for little ones who can't tie laces yet. Love Keene's durability and water proof. Slightly stiffer than typical sneakers.

My son really likes these shoes. There are no half sizes, so we tried both. The smaller ones fit him the best. He will be wearing them for a 3 day hike with his camp!

You can't go wrong with Keen. Great brand for active families. And great quality for kids who tend to be a little rough with their shoes. The elastic is great for little ones who still can't tie their shoes making it easy for them to put on and take off. Very comfortable and well made.

I was hesitant to spend this much on a shoe for my 8-year-old son, because I was essentially purchasing it as a stand-in for rain boots in the summer. However, this is a really nice little shoe that I think will serve him well as long as it fits. Great shoe for summer camps and rainy days with shorts.

My son loves these shoes. He's had them for 3-4 months now and worn them almost daily. They're easy on easy off, great for recess, snow, gym, muck and mud, and are holding up wonderfully. We're going on a trip soon and he'll need hiking boots, so I'm planning to get that style too. My son is also tall and skinny as another reviewer mentioned, and he hasn't complained that these are clunky at all. I prefer the word stable. ;-) They are fairly lightweight too. I highly recommend them.

I've been buying Keen shoes for my kids for almost 8 years, why? because of durability, comfort, and cute designs. These shoes last longer than any other shoes in my boys feet, this new model comes with an improve elastic, love the dark color in contrast with the bright blue, they're very easy to put on, and since it's suppose to be rain season I'm grateful for them to be waterproof.

As usual, my older son loves these and finds them very comfortable. He chooses them over his Sambas - even in summer (I don't really consider this Keen style a summer shoe). However, my 9y/o son is very slender with skinny legs. He feels goofy in this style, and I do see why...it's a bulky shoe. (but light)

So far so good! My picky 7 year old likes them, says they are comfortable, and he can still run SUPER fast in them (that is important LOL). They seemed to stay pretty dry on the inside after he snuck outside, and sprayed the water hose everywhere including all over himself and INSIDE the house! I think the little bit of wetness in the shoes came from water running down his legs, and seeping into his cotton socks. Taking them for a month long jaunt in Scotland. So that will be the Ultimate test! I’ll try to update once back!

We love Keens and these seemed to be the perfect next pair for our son. The issue is that we ordered 2 pairs and the tongue in both pairs hurts our son's foot so much we couldn't keep either pair. The material bunches up and puts pressure on his foot.

My 12 year old likes the shoe -- design, fit and comfort. We live in the NE and he said its nice and warm (it's winter while I'm writing this). It is a bit narrow, and doesn't come in a wide, but he said it's only slightly narrow. (Keene's run narrow in women's and kid's sizes) I like the fact that it's waterproof AND breathable -- my son's feet may not smell quite as much as they do cooped up in his old shoes.

Fit great - My 7.5 year old loved them. Easy on and off. But didn't last! The bungee cord tore through and then they were too loose. The soles are still fine, but the lacing mechanism is not durable!

Got these for a six year old boy. They are much too narrow at the insert and tongue and he could barely squeeze his foot in, even though the shoes were a full size large on him and he had lots of space in the toe box. I made sure to loosen the lacing system all the way. Either there wasn't enough lace for me to pull the sides apart or the foot opening is just built too narrow. The tongue was also short and was difficult to pull out from under the laces if it was pushed under. It's a nice looking shoe and I really hoped it would work out since he needs a good, waterproof winter shoe.

The shoe felt like it was constantly shifting to the right and as I walked I wanted to keep correcting it. Hoping this is just this pair.

Love Keens. Love them. We needed a waterproof shoe for a child that was coming home with wet feet from his tennis shoes almost daily. These do the job, and keep feet dry. I was hoping they'd last several months, but they only lasted 3 months. The bottom sole started peeling off from the bottom. For $70, I would expect them to last a little bit longer than that. I'd maybe try them again only because I love not having constant wet feet and shoes, and hope that they don't get ruined so quickly.

My son has worn it a few times and the sole is coming off. Will contact customer service for return.

These had been great shoes until the blue rubber sole came off after less than a month of wearing to school. Contacted Zappos customer support, waiting for what they can suggest. My 10 yo son has been wearing Keen shoes since age 3 and each pair always lasted for at least a year. Falling apart after one month is not what I expect from this brand and this price.

My son loves these shoes but they fall apart within a few months. I’ve had to return two pairs for this reason. It’s too bad.
