For an upcoming winter hiking trip, I evaluated four boots; the Anchorage was the most attractive of the four, although that’s obviously subjective. I really enjoyed how easily they slipped on and off. I ordered a half size up, which fit well even though I used thick socks (Smartwool) Fit was good, roomy in the toe and heel, maybe a little snug in the middle. The heel does lift, which was to be expected since the boot doesn’t lace up. For everyday walking, this isn’t a concern, but it might be for longer hikes. The top of the boot did rub into the shins a little bit, but I feel like it would break in with more wear. If you’re looking for a more stylish option than most winter boots, this is a good option.

Extremely comfortable and warm. Hoping the quality is better than the pull-tabs, one of which ripped within weeks (Pretty thin material for purpose). Great boots for cold rainy weather.

Size and fit was like any other size 10 D shoe I have bought in the past. Looks great, feels great, light weight, just enough insulation, not too little or too much. You can wear these boots in the fall and winter or any time just wear thinner socks.

11 was too small-tried half size up & still a tight fit. Should have gotten it in a 12. Return process was convenient.

I have loved Keen shoes for years, but the quality and consistency of size isn't what it used to be and for the price I just don't feel good about them like I used to. I wear an 8, sometimes an 8.5. This year somehow I'm a size 7. These shoes are almost $200 and I just expected more from them or to be more 100% satisfied with them like I have been in the past. There's virtually no arch support and the material seems different from almost identical looking shoes I've bought in the past. The brown color that I've liked in the past, not the same as either of these options. The heel seems a little too wide. I've heard many other people who have loved Keens for years say that they aren't holding up like they used to either. I'll be curious to see. Having said all of that, I tried on over 10 pairs of shoes trying to find a good comfortable waterproof shoe and these are the ones I'm ultimately keeping. Just wish I felt better about it. I kinda feel a little ripped off, but with no better option. Miss the old Keens, big time.

for me, It needs more arch support

These were much bigger and...clunkier than my previous beloved pair.

nice pair of boots, but I depend on keen for good arch support but the warm insoles they put in these boots had no arch support at all. Dont buy unless you are prepared to buy a pair of decent insoles.

Boots were loose fitting around the ankles, and it felt as if a blister was developing.

Very narrow.

I like everything and would have kept them but my heel would lift out at the back and it felt very uncomfortable.

I wanted to love these. The leather was soft and they appear to be well made. The heel was sloppy and slippy but otherwise they fit pretty well. My wife said they looked like Danish clogs crossed with elf boots which, once I looked objectively at them, I have to say she was right. That was the kicker. Returned. Got the Merrell Moab Adventure on the way, they look a little closer to what I'm hoping for, waiting for them to arrive. Will post review once my wife stops laughing.

My husband chose these for a boot he could use in wet weather that would still be acceptable for casual office wear. These definitely are not a style for that. They didn't feel good when he tried them on. He has a narrow foot and needs good arch support. This boot didn't make the grade.

I bought these for my husband, I cannot believe that they are making the tops of these so narrow! He literally could not even get the boot on over the arch. He struggled and pulled so hard that I thought he was going to break the loops off the boot! He foot would literally not go down inside boot. I do not understand why they just can’t make a side zipper for men. I do not know any man in America whose foot would fit into the top of this boot!! If you ever did get it on, you would never get it off. Very unfortunate, as I think it would be a great boot if it had a wider opening or side zip.

Shoe is much more bulbous than they look. Also the way the leather is sewn leaves a seam across the top of your foot. Very uncomfortable. Easy to pull on but heel slips a lot.

I have a large wide foot and buy Keen because of the large toe box. I returned these and bought Rialto instead. The Anchorage Boot was too tight across the width of my foot. Also the heel rubbed on the back of the boot in a very non Keen way. These boots fit differently than the shoes.

First pair of Keen's that i've ever had that had a tight toe box. Tight through the arch. And i'm a fan of Keen. Just can't wear this because of the tightness.

Love the boot design, construction, and finish. I wear 11 dress shoe and ordered that size. Felt small...my toes touched the end of the boot. I returned and ordered the 11.5. Fit much better...but as others have mentioned, your heel will slip. The issue I'm having is that the height of the boot is really rubbing the back of my leg. I've worn them for about a week and cannot say it is getting better. Just sitting or standing they feel great. However, start walking and they start rubbing the back of your calf. At this point, I can only hope they break in and the back softens up.

Beautifully made boot, but way too 'sloppy' in the heel. Seems to be a common problem with Keen.

Keen seems to have 2 or 3 lasts. This is the 'big one'. Way big/sloppy in the heel area for me, sadly as I love my other Keens which seem to be on the 'medium' lasts...

This boot has been very good for the job it was intended for. I wear it out to our barn year-round. The waterproof aspect of the boot is great. I do have a gripe about the sole, which is a two component (or more) sole, the bottom layer of which separated from the next layer pretty early in my ownership of this boot. I finally resorted to re-gluing the sole with Shoe-Goo, and it has been functional, but the appearance is very much "old barn boot". See attached pictures.

Too big, way too big.

did not fit well and I needed to return. I tried both size 11.5 and 12 and neither worked for me . Too much room in the heel and I was worried about blisters forming. I do like KEEN shoes and will try another style.

The left shoe was bigger than the other. It was off to the degree that you could tell placing the shoes side by side. However, the labeling for each shoe agreed that they were the same. I assume this is a quality control issue. Additionally, the boots were not nearly as good looking in real life as compared to the pictures.
