True to size and super comfortable.

I've had these for about a year now and I couldn't ask for a better boot. Everything about it is excellent, and the folks at my Amazon location often complimented them. Unfortunately I've grown a taste for barefoot shoes so I'm now compromised to find a new boot with a much larger toe box, otherwise I would wear these til they eventually fell apart.

These boots do run about a half size bigger in my opinion. But, Irish Setters are hands down my favorite boots of all time. They are really comfortable and easy broken in within the first few hours. They also last a long time, I've been wearing the ones that I have on my feet for almost 2 years and that's 10+ hours a day! Nothing is better!

Boots fit good, and are probably the most comfortable boot out of the box i've owned.

I was expecting to be uncomfortable breaking these boots in. To my surprise, these boots fit like a glove and so far have not caused any foot/ankle pain.

Slightly larger than I expected, but these shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

I wear a size 10 in sneakers and regular street shoes, I went ahead with a 10 for these boots, as previous work boots I've owned were 10's as well. This is my second pair of these same boots, and due to the all leather construction, they are comfortable and feel broken in right out of the box. They get even better with time and care, and clean up nicely. Every week I clean them with saddle soap, and brush on a coat of mink oil, helps to really soften up the leather, and add even further protection from water. The mink oil does darken the color, and I actually prefer it that way. The flat soles are safer, don't have to worry about my heel catching on something. Only upgrade was replacing the factory laces with the IronLaces brand, indestructible. These are overall the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn in the last 14 years of wearing work boots.

It’s a great boot can’t complain I walked 8 miles my first day with these on they are very comfortable and stylish but I usually wear a size 12 but had to go to the size 13 because of the composite toe it worked out for me I really recommend this Boot.

I ordered a half size larger and they fit perfectly. outstanding quality.

This boot is awesome. Probably the second most comfortable work boot I have owned, Thorogood Heritage 6" being the best. The laces don't really hold up too good but with a set of Diamond Laces Unbreakable boot laces from Amazon and you are good to go. I wore the first pair of Irish setters for three years and the only reason I am getting another pair is because the Company I work for gives us money towards new boots every year. Over all I would highly recommend.

The look was great about the shoe but after putting them on and trying to walk in them for awhile it cut my ankle in a few places. Not sure if that was part of the break in process of just a problem with the bot itself. Hopefully trying thicker socks will fix the issue but overall not a bad shoe.

These were for my son, he's had them before for work, says they are the best for comfort. No break in period, wants to have another pair!

Fit and sizing was perfect. Only bad thing was the laces went bad after a few weeks? kinda stinks that I have to purchase a new pair

Love these shoes!!! Just wish Zappos would carry more supply of these. They're almost always out of stock.

The shoes feel wonderful, I am on my feet 10hours a day and feel like I can go all night! ( I work the night shift no funny jokes lol) I get compliments all day about how sweet they look.

Best Composite boots I ever purchased

I am overly satisfied with the boots. After 30 years in the construction field i have finally found a pair of boots that fit perfectly and do not hurt my feet for a couple weeks of break in mink oil treatment after mink oil treatment. Strait out of the box the leather feels like a worn in pair of boots. the only negative thing I can say is they need a pair or inserts for arch support if you have bad arches. But I have yet to find a pair of boots that I haven't had to put inserts in so I am 100 percent satisfied with this boot. They are also waterproof as stated. I stood in a hole with 4'' of water for an hour digging a water main out and never got wet feet !!

Great boots, premium leather looks great feels great, but yeah if anyone tells you these are true to size that's a lie, I read reviews saying that and now I have to exchange these. Boots of this quality usually run larger so get yourself at least a half size down, could probably get away with a full size down depending on if your foot is wide or not.

He is a hard to find size 14. He has bought this exact size and model for years direct from the Red Wing store with no issues. This pair was very tight. It may be this particular boot is mis-sized. The boot arrived with laces on and you could tell someone had walked around in them. Not worn down but not spotless either. The boots are great if you can get the right fit. I'm giving a 5 star review for the boot in general but not for the boot we received.
