Outer jacket: I really like the feel of the outer shell. The material, while synthetic, almost has a denim feel. Time will tell how tear resistant it is compared to the older model interchangeable jackets I have owned, but it feels very sturdy. One thing I dislike on the outer shell is the length. For the size I would have liked to see it 2" - 4" shorter and a bit slimmer. Inner jacket: Like the outer jacket I would have liked to see the body slimmer. The length of the arms and torso of inner jacket is about perfect for my size. The collar could be an inch or two taller, but it is adequate. I really like the cuffs on this jacket. They seem to be a good size between too tight and just a straight cut. The inner shell holds the heat in well, but the feathers are starting to come out already (I have had the jacket two weeks). I am always hesitant to buy down jackets for this reason, they start out well, but shed their insulation. The outer material feels very thin and fragile, but has been water and snow repellant thus far.

I got the jacket L-size because I have wide shoulders and it fits well, however a slight design flaw makes the waist bigger due to the same width as shoulders. the string at the midsection would really help fix this flaw. as one can see there is no such string or tension at midwaist on this jacket. I am keeping it anyway because it it is sufficient for NYC winter and environment. not sure it can handle North states or Canada winters only because the Turbodawn is too thin inside the lining. I wish there was an option to boost thickness of the lining for extra $50 or $100 .

Turbo Down means nothing in this case, for the money, just put in more down feathers, add in a two way zipper, install two breast pockets with a side zipper so that they can be accessed and used, put in two inside zip pockets inside of down liner and make two lower pockets larger, add in a key clip in both pockets and then the coat might be worth the money.
