I bought a size 1 for my 6 month old who measured at about 4.15". The boot fits but it's hard to get on without the little strap on the back to help with pulling up. Anyhow, the boot has a patent leather finish around the top rim and base which is not pictured accurately. The picture gives a matte finish on the entire boot. Overall I'm keeping the boot, even though I really hate patent leather, it's not worth the trouble of sending back.
