This is an amazing sweater - its exactly what you would expect from Arc'teryx, The cuffs and neck have a very nice elastic to them that feels durable, like it will hold its shape forever, but the elastic just serves to hold the garment on, it is not so tight as to rub.
The cloth is warm and breathes extremely well. You could wear this as an outer layer in the early spring or late fall, and it would serve equally well as a midlayer when outdoors in colder times.
Now for the big negative. This sweater is HILARIOUSLY lint attractive. It will catch every piece of dust, lint, and animal hair within five square miles. Animal hair in particular will get stuck in there and resist lint-rolling. Dog owners with cloth seats in their vehicle will know what I am talking about.
Possibly related, the cloth's outer face is somewhat course and artificial feeling, like a mild velcro. Let's just say, very durable, but its not the most comfortable sweater for you to wear for the sake of your significant other or kids when it comes time to snuggle up around the campfire or on the couch.
What I would love to see is a sweater cut and constructed exactly like the Donovan, but of a merino-nylon blend that has a softer, smoother face and hopefully is less attractive to fur.

It is difficult to find sweaters without the Neru collar lately, so I was pleased to find this one. (High collars tend to curl out over time.) The fabric is thicker than I expected, which is a good aspect. The cut is very clean, of course. Sewing and fabric reinforcement is meticulous. I chose the sweater for outdoor activities in a cold land. Time will tell how the sweater stands up; perhaps I will report back in a year.

Wish I'd returned this one. Icebreaker and Smartwool feel great against the skin. Despite a low wool content, this one does not. It's tough, warm, but it itches. It also has a lousy fit. It isn't tapered like say a Captive polo but is just baggy around the belly. I'm 5'10", 180lbs, athletic build, and got a large.
