I'm not religious, but wearing this jacket is comparable to how I imagine baby Jesus felt in the crib of one of those nativity scenes.
So. Incredibly. Cozy. From +10C to -15C, the lofty down will keep you toasty while not sweaty. It also doesn't stink like a lot of down out there.
By far the best Arc'teryx piece I own, by virtue of feeling like I'm receiving a hug every time I put it on.

Like a lot of you reading this (I'm sure!), I own a lot of jackets. This makes it hard for me to justify buying any new ones. When I first tried on this Cerium jacket, I was instantly taken back by how light it was; with my first thought being that this could replace one of my synthetic layers I use for multi-day mountain marathons during UK winters.
Despite buying this jacket primarily for use in the hills throughout winter, as a post-running/race jacket, and a night time layer when travelling light during winter nights, it became my go to winter jacket for 2015-16 winter, and I know I will continue to use it for many more winters. The Adriatic blue colour is vivid, and really stands out out in the Scottish hills (very useful from a safety point of view).
The quality is great, and the fit (for me a men's small) is perfect. The handy stuff sack is great for compressing the jacket and sticking at the bottom of your bag for emergencies.
There are a couple of small downsides to the jacket. It's expensive, but you pay for quality. It's a delicate face fabric, but I accepted the weight saving trade off. Every so often a feather pokes through a seam, but it's a down jacket, not synthetic so that's normal. The one thing I would change would be to add slightly heavier duty zips. I have had no problems with any of the zips (two pockets, and main zip on front), but they are quite small 'thin' zips and I do worry about their hardi-ness!

This jacket is my go to for all things semi cold. It leaves enough room for me to put another layer underneath and fits underneath a shell so wonderfully. I use this jacket to belay in on chillier days to keep myself warm during rest periods. It keeps me warm and it not bulky at all. Overall an incredible jacket.

I just purchased the Cerium LT on sale at a store in Ontario. I have not been able to wear it a lot because its starting to warm up here. I was able to wear it on a cold morning and i was comfortable and not over heating. The sizing is perfect. It is not to tight nor too loose.
I cannot wait until next winter to be able to really test it out.
Great product Arc'teryx

Typically when I'm ski touring I carry an Atom AR for insulation at breaks and during the descent. The Atom is generally warm enough to get me through the day but there are always situations that can come us where activity level drops for a time. For longer breaks, colder temps, riding lifts to the slackcoutnry or emergency situations I always want to have a warm layer waiting in my pack to keep my core warm. The Cerium LT Hoody is that layer. Lightweight and extremely packable, the Cerium LT is almost unnoticeable in the pack until it's needed. For a jacket that packs down to just over 1/2 the size of a nalgene, it provides significant insulating value and insures against heat loss when the temperature drops. In combination with the Atom, it forms a versatile layering system that can keep me warm through a broad range of conditions I encounter touring in the South Coast.
Design and materials are excellent. The cut layers well between the Atom AR insulating layer and Alpha FL hard shell jacket. I'm a fan of the small stuff sack that attaches to the inside of a pocket - I love never needing to search for it when packing the jacket. The hood is great for extending the insulating value during periods of lower activity. This jacket has been in my pack for every ski tour since I picked it up, I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I got this jacket for Christmas and so far I love it. It's great for ski touring which I find is what I use it most for. I do find it almost too warm if I am moving, though, and not quite warm enough during transitions especially if it's colder out. It is not enough to really bother me that much though because as soon as I start moving again I warm up.
My one issue with this jacket is in the inner elbows and the armpits. The down will simply migrate out of those areas as soon as I bend my arm. The synthetic insulation seems to be in a strange spot as well, more toward the back rather than closer to the chest where a backpack strap might sit. This might just be my body but in the future I would love it if there was a larger patch of synthetic insulation in the armpits and maybe some different baffling in the elbows.
As well I found the torso to be a little snug across the chest. I'm 5'8 and 150lb and am usually a very solid medium but I would almost consider getting a large. Best to try it on with what layers you think you'll wear first.

I have only great things to say about this jacket. It has become my every day winter go-to. It's extremely comfortable and lightweight, not heavy, cumbersome or constrictive like other winter jackets. The design allows for flexibility and movement. It's warm and breathes extremely well.
I live in Minnesota, so I'm no stranger to the cold. Having a jacket that I can go out into the elements on a daily basis and be comfortable is essential to enjoying winter in our state. This piece is great as a stand alone or midlayer. My favorite aspect is the ease of movement and no constriction, while staying warm and cozy.

I've been eyeing this beauty for two years to replace my OR down jacket and somehow the bf figured out to get it for me. I'm 5'8"/150lbs and this baby seems tailor made! The arms on most Arc'teryx gear is longer than most companies which keeps me coming back-I now have three jackets, a set of base layers, and one mid layer top. I can reach out and the arms don't expose my wrists; when I reach up, my midriff isn't exposed, which is so rare in down jackets. The Cerium LT Hoody is amazingly light and wonderfully warm; ideal for Utah's mountains. Whether I'm in Little Cottonwood, PC, the Uintas or in town, this is the perfect jacket.

I am always proud to show the lightness of my Cerium. In addition to being warm when it should, it is super compact, this is a great travel companion to put in his backpack. It differs in kind in nature or as in the city by its Riptide color. It has an exceptional comfort. I even forget that I wear it!

I am not a super thin guy, 5'8" & 165 lb., and found Thorium to be big i mid section. One could easily adjust and stop the wind from entering but Cerium protects me naturally without any adjustment. I am not a huge fan of down because I absolutely hate down poking out the jacket. Perhaps that is why I am all about synthetic insulation jackets, Fission LT, Khuno Parka, Atom AR, Solano, Proxy, etc. which I happen to own all of them. I finally gave in and decide to try this as my wife had to for 2 years now and she appears to be happy with it. Now, I get the fact why people are so heavily into down jackets as they are best insulation the mother nature gave us. I have not had this jacket long so I really can't comment on how much or less the down will come out but so far so good. I suppose if I can't trust Arcteryx, I really can't rust any other brand. Seriously, the warm and weight ratio is amazing and the fit of this jacket is absolutely perfect for me. I don't think I can layer anything heavy inside but I won't be needing any unless I am going to somewhere extremely cold like Arctic. This is pricy, yes, but if this lasts like other jackets I own, it will be worth every penny.

I started running to work a year ago. I'd have my work clothes in my light 6L backpack. To go back home, I'd simply commute. This was great for the summer.
I wanted to continue running in winter and didn't want to have a giant bag. I decided to go for a 12L backpack. I need to fit my work clothes and my winter jacket. I was happy to choose the Cerium LT Hoody. It fits into a pocket the best part is that I was able to use it down to temperatures in the -20C. I didn't have to wear more than a t-shirt underneath.
I'm really happy with it and would recommend it any time.

It's really very light and it keep very warmth in comparison with its weight would suggest to you. Pack down in backpack or a travel bag, it become very thin.
I use it for a fall hiking, but it also enough elegance for a lifestyle day.

I'm now entering my third season with a Cerium LT. I bought it on impulse and then wasn't sure it made sense given I have other nice mids. Well this one is the one I wear when it gets below 25F. I'll either wear it by itself around town or combine it with a shell.
1. Durability. I take care of it but it's held up extremely well, still in like new condition.
2. Feather retention. I see that some have had problems with this. I have not. I may have had one or two kind of poking out but pushed them back in and all's well.
3. Warmth. Really exceptional for it's bulk and weight. Very wide comfort range. These characteristics are what makes this piece stand out. Well that and...
4. Style. I admit it...this is why I bought it. Arcteryx style really appeals to me. I haven't seen another brand that fits and looks as good. Personal taste yes.
I've had such a positive experience with this that I've purchased the non hoody version this fall.

Great mid-layer or standalone insulated layer for around camp when backpacking. It's super light and packs down nice and small, and it keeps you warm on cold fall mornings in the rockies.
The only (sort of) downside is the face fabric doesn't seem super durable, so I probably wouldn't go bushwacking without a shell over top to protect it.

I bought this for a trip to Kilimanjaro, and I absolutely love it. The left pocket has a pouch the jacket stuffs into and is easy to pack away when not needed. I wore this coat mostly at night when we were at camp and was warm right away. On summit night, I wore this under my Beta AR jacket, and was warm enough (there were a few more layers in there...) that I ended up hiking zippers open for a good bit of the night - until it got really cold about 4 am and near summit (-25C that day) -and then zipped I was warm! Living in Houston, I am going to struggle to find a need for it - but it will be good for visiting family living in the north during winter time!

This jacket is AMAZING. I previously bought the Thorium AR and while it gave me that awesome down warmth, it was a little too boxy for my taste. I wanted something more trim fitting that flowed seamlessly between alpine pursuits and around town use. The Cerium fits the bill perfectly. It gives me that extra warmth I normally can't get out of my synthetics and it just feels great on you. Not having an elastic sinch makes sense, its a lightweight piece. The elastic hem does just fine. If you're looking into the best down in your quiver, I strongly recommend this one!

I own this jacket now for 1 year and wear it from autumn to spring. For me it's the best goose down jacket I ever owned. It's a goose down yes, but it's a class of its own. Because it's combination of weight to warmth is excellent - plus you don't look like a goose yourself wearing it. What most other goose down jackets with significant less isolation grade do. I love the hoody. It makes you feel warm around the neck an head, so I feel much warmer in a chilly wind, without looking weird. When not using the hoody it keeps the neck warm when the zipper is all the way up. Speaking of the zipper, it works fine, but in the upper 10 cm there is some fabric covering it to feel more comfortable. This fabric leads to the zipper to get stuck a little when pulled up. It's not a big deal, but could be solved better I guess.
The jacket is warm in temperatures between +15 to - 5C as an outer layer. I often wear only a t-shirt underneath at +5C feeling perfect. And I'm usually getting cold fast. It can easily stand light rain for a period of 1h maybe longer. Wind is no problem at all, what I didn't expect. Used underneath a hard shell it's a great winter combination. I have the "Therme Parka" for winter, though.
I use the jacket mostly urban, but taking it on a hike it's where it shines. It can be packed very small and the weight makes it a no brainer. On a bike leaning forward, it could be a few centimeters longer in the back - but that's not what it is made for I guess.
If you want a goose down jacket, you reached your destination - don't need to look further.

A great jacket, either as an outer layer in dry coolish (-10 C) conditions, or as a midlayer under a shell. The fit is snug, which contributes to the nice cut fit of this jacket. The ability to pack it down to such a small size will come in handy while traveling. The zipper seems a little light weight and possibly flimsy, so we'll see how it stands the test of time (however, don't let the zipper stop you from buying the jacket!).
This is, in fact, my second jacket of this model, as I had to buy one exactly like this for my wife. As soon as I got mine, it was "Nice jacket!" and every chance she had, she took it! It was either lose it to her, or buy another one...the choice was obvious!

I absolutely LOVE this jacket. I own this jacket in Nighthawk and LOVE the color! It keeps me warm layered with the Delta LT jacket in 10 degree weather, even when super windy!!!
My only complaint is that I also ordered this jacket in Ganziana Blue (was going to keep both) but could see the dark feathers through the material. The dark feathers made the jacket look dirty. I had this same problem with the "Firefly" color in the Thorium AR. I would have kept both of these jackets as the colors ARE AMAZING but sadly the dark feathers were a problem! Please please PLEASE Arc'teryx, fix this for next year!!!

Bought the Cerium Lt Vest first. Funny, wasn't sure I would keep it, but I never take it off :) Bought the Cerium Lt Hoody on a whim when they offered free express shipping. I know I've said it already but I love this jacket. The combination is very warm, comfortable, light....can't say enough good about it. I have found that occasionally the neck on some Arcteryx jackets bug me a little - not the Cerium Hoody. May even buy it in another color.

I love my new Cerium LT hoody. I bought the Nighthawk color and I wear it all the time. I live in Vancouver and it's great on those cool days around town, or under my shell on colder/wetter days. It's perfect for curling, hopefully snowshoeing when the snow arrives. Mom has the one without the hood and she adores it. The lightweight nature combined with a nice not overpowering warmth is perfect. The hood is perfect: fits exactly and you can still look to the left or right and have complete visibility. Very happy!

I have been eyeing this down fill hoody for a couple of seasons and bought it about a month ago. I have been wearing it around town and it has kept me cozy and warm. I bought it with winter trail running in mind - the fact the hoody packs into it's pocket and can be tucked into a backpack or easily attached to a pack is a huge plus.I travel a fair amount to races and before and after the races also can get very cold! Jacket is super lightweight and belies the warmth. The fit is incredibly flattering. I am about 5 ft and 115 lb and size small is perfect - gives me room to layer should I need to. I chose to buy it in blue and loved the color. Even though I don't always use the hoody part, I love having the hoody. And fyi a toque fits neatly underneath the hoodie. The jacket is pricey, but a good investment.
