This is a great fleece jacket. I can wear it on its own, or under another jacket. The fit is much better than I'd expected. I got a 2X and it has to stretch a little to fully accommodate me, but it doesn't look bad at all. For context, I'm 6ft and 265lbs and prefer a pit to pit of 27 inches. If you're looking for a nice looking fleece, I'd recommend this one.

I've had the kyanite fleece since 2020, it goes everywhere with me up every Mountain in the Lake District & around town or city. The age old saying, buy best cry once buy cheap cry every time. There's nothing to report on wear all the stitches are fine zip still works it's not miss shaped. Every now an then I run a sticky roller over it to get the fluff off with cheap fleeces if pulls away the fleece also over a period of time you can se through the arms this just hasn't happened with the kyanite. If you are thinking about getting a kyanite don't you won't regret it.

I wish I had consulted this review section before purchasing! I had such a great experience with the Kyanite lightweight jacket - stylish, comfortable fit and amazingly durable fabric - that I decided to add the mid-weight jacket for colder weather. Assumed same name, same fabric. Clearly an unfortunate assumption. Look and feel is similar but the pilling on the sleeves that others have observed is very frustrating. Unless you like tufting on your clothes, I strongly advise you save your money. Love the brand. Sorry this product is so disappointing.

There is a person at Arc'teryx who made a decision to change the material in the Kyanite Jacket. Until I have confirmation that person is gone, I will not buy another product. The pilling is unacceptable.

Very disappointed in this jacket. Had the version prior and by far the best piece of kit (fleece) I had purchased. I do not know what changed but the material is in no way the same standard.

Worn once, washed once, fabric is awful. Significant pilling all over after being washed ONCE. Contacted customer support since obviously this is unusual, but they said this is normal. Do not buy this, this material is not durable whatsoever.

Breathability, fit just right. I love the design of Kyanite since it looks solid but still give me the warm I needed from fleece material.

Very well made, light but keep you warm. Highly recommend.

I wanted something that wasn't as "techy" as a lot of my layers, but that still could cross over, should I need/want to layer it for an outdoor mission. The Kyanite Jacket nailed it! The fit is spot on (5'11", 185 lb, broad shoulders). I like the casual styling, but it'll make for a great layer when winter comes. Nowadays, it's perfect as a standalone piece for crisp autumn evenings in the mountains of southwest Colorado.

Diamond black is actually dark blue! Thin, warm and super comfy. Well done Arc'teryx.

Good material and comfortable to wear. Good for hiking.

This keeps getting better and better. The collar is finally right. Stands up with out flopping over or being awkward. The stratus color is a very nice slate blue hue. As usual it's very soft and comfortable. It's cut just right for layering. Warm, light, and breathable. Nothing else to say!

My true all around go to jacket. From the mountain tops to the urban streets, this thing shines. Comfortable and love how it fits, keeping me warm when needed no matter the condition.

I got this jacket as a Christmas present for myself in the colour Momentum. I layered this with my winter jacket during hikes and I am loving it as a spring jacket right now. It is quite breathable and I have washed it a handful of times and have not noticed any pilling. This works as a great mid layer because it is form fitting and not too heavy. I highly recommend it! The deep pockets are also a big plus!

I needed a soft-shell and the Kyanite fit the bill. The Polartec material is warm, breathable, and has the right amount of elasticity. Arc'teryx did a great job on the fit: it's athletic and tapered through the mid-section. I'm 5'10", 180lbs and like the fit of the Large (allows for layers underneath, but not too baggy when worn without layers). I also like the interior pocket. All in all, very pleased and would highly recommend.

I purchased the Kyanite jacket to keep me warm under my Atom LT and was immediately impressed. Like all Arc'Teryx pieces it's really well made but I wasn't prepared for how comfortable it was! I immediately ordered another in a different colour and I honestly wear them all the time. I'm planning on getting a few more and can't recommend them highly enough. Love these fleeces!

I bought this item a few months ago and it's been fantastic experience so far. It's warm, soft and very comfortable.

This sweater is super comfy and super soft. It's great for a mid layer for higher output activities in cold temps and it's been my go to outer layer for runs on cool days (I bought 2 to rotate them through the week). For days hovering between -5C to 5C I wear a merino base layer with the kyanite on top and it's the perfect combo for longer runs. But it's also so easy wearing/not too technical looking to just wear around the house because it's just so comfy. Do yourself a solid and get one.

Got this fleece sweater in Orion & Black. It's extremely comfortable and soft. it's super stretchy too. I wear the Kyanite with my Atom SL in the spring/fall and it's just a great combo. For colder winters, I wear this fleece with my Veilance Anneal Down Jacket and it's just super light. I think this has to be one of the most recommended item to my friends & family for sweaters from Arc'teryx. This fleece may be a bit prone to pilling from shafing however, the versatility of this sweater is super convenient. To be honest, I think this sweater fits a tad bit small because of the stretchy Polartec fleece. I've washed it a few times already and I don't think it has shrunk or at least it wasn't noticeable.

I've had this product for about 3 months now, which I've used it in hikes, errands, and even lounging in. In my experience this is probably the most versatile fleece jacket I've ever owned. It's soft, warm, stylish, and so comfortable! It's great on its own or as an inner layer - I've layered this with my atom lt hoodie in 25 degree weather and felt just fine (Disclaimer: I'm used to this weather being from the Midwest!), so it goes to show how warm it can be without much bulk. I'm on the smaller side, 5'3", 133lbs, and this fits me perfectly in an XS
