Love the vest but the zippers are a joke. Its like putting cheap tires on a Ferrari. They will work fine while the super car is parked but would be afraid to take that car into a corner at high speed. The excuse of saving weight on the vest is off base.

The vest looked great, until I tried it on. It has an unusual cut. It has a pretty dramatic hourglass shape, and I found that the bottom hem was too big around, although the rest of the vest fit fine. I appreciate the weight savings by having no drawcord, but this vest just wouldn't work for me without one. The second issue was that the front panels are cut on a curve. If you unzip the vest, it is very apparent. The zippers do not lie in a straight line. They curve. What this did for me was cause the front of the vest to pooch out. I guess that wouldn't be so bad, but since I'm small chested, it mainly pooched out towards the bottom, which made me look pregnant. I have another vest made by a different company that has front panels that are not curved, and it does not have this issue. I hope Arcteryx redesigns this vest in the future, because I'd actually like to have one.

I want to love this vest, as I love all things Arcteryx. I have several of Arcteryx items and love them but this vest does not seem to have the same quality. Feathers started coming out of the seams the first time I wore it. I get that it is going to happen occasionally but there are lots of them and makes the vest look cheap.

I bought this vest even though I had read the reviews saying the hourglass shape of the vest is weird. Normally, anything sized Medium in Arc'teryx fits me very well, so I figured it could not be that bad. But it is... So if you like the colors of the Patagonia vests, I highly recommend to go for it instead, even though I am a big fan of Arc'teryx. For this particular item, the fit it weird. You need to have a very severe pear shape to really fit that vest well. None of the other jackets are like that. The quality is good, but the design is not great.

I was excited to get this, but disappointed when it arrived. I'm a size 8-10 and ordered a small. It fit well across the chest and waist, but was too large on the hips - it's built for a pear shape. More importantly, the armholes are far too small (I don't have big arms!) and dig into the armpits. The toggle on the zip is teeny and made of flimsy plastic. When I did manage to get the zip into it, I was frustrated that it was a left hand zip, and the zip itself was very thin. Should have listened to the negative reviews. Such a shame.

I owned this for 3 weeks and it has a rip in it now. I walked near a corner of a table and it snagged and ripped the vest. This is the first piece of clothing that I have that this happened to. I would have thought that for the price it would be more durable.

I have had my Cerium LT vest for three seasons with modest usage. While a great cut that is true to size, warm and light weight, my issue with this vest lies in the design of the collar. Like my Cerium SV hoodie, this fabric comes in contact with my chin which is pulled out by my beard stubble. This leaves me with two options: shave every time I wear it or never wear it. Frankly, this is a silly question. The fabric must not pull out from contact with facial hair- period. I have included a photo of the issue. From left to right: Ceres SV parka (red), facial hair does not pull fabric. Cerium SV hoodie (grey), facial hair pulls fabric. Cerium LT hoodie (yellow), facial hair does not pull fabric. Cerium LT vest (orange), facial hair pulls fabric. I would like to see the chin flap of the Cerium LT hoodie found in my other Cerium items! That little chin flap is a clutch item that would improve both the Cerium LT vest and the Cerium SV hoodie, IMO. My vest is beginning to show signs of 'facial hair damage' and I fear that at the end of this fall season the snagging will be so annoying that I will avoid wearing it (like my Cerium SV hoodie) unless I never turn my head for any reason. Regarding warmth, this vest is ideal for cool fall days or worn under a shell.

I'm looking for that quick layer that packs small and provides more warmth. The Thorium AR looks like a perfect candidate to be turned into a hoodless vest. A quick snack and water break on the skin track needs a layer that packs small during those cold days. On the Resort I can whip out the Vest for the chair lift and tuck it away for the leg pumping run down. -The Vest Fan

Purchased this vest in the pink guava colour. Product description stated that the vest was filled with "white" goose down. Unfortunately the goose down fill was not white as many dark brown or black feathers were clearly visible through the fabric giving the vest an overall dirty and splotchy appearance. Loved the colour and the fit - too bad about the visible dark feathers. Vest was returned.

I bought this for my husband for the holidays and it has already ripped from normal daily use. It's a beautiful vest and keeps him warm, but it is so delicate that I don't know how anyone could actually wear this on a regular basis without destroying it quickly. My husband's vest has already ripped. He had a vest from another company for over 10 years that never ripped and he wore it all the time. For 10 years! I bought him a new one only because the old one w didn't look as nice anymore. Given the price of this vest, it's especially disappointing. He wore this vest driving and on walks around our neighborhood. I feel like a fool for this purchase. I have never spent so much on an item only to see it ruined so quickly. Buyer Beware!

Had this almost a year and wore it occasionally and enjoyed the cut and size. Sadly the down in the back section started to shift and shed through the seems. Appears defective as other areas of the vest have remained fluffy and have a request out for warranty. Fingers crossed that I just got a dud as other products have held up well for many years.

It simply won't close. I was afraid I was going to tear the zipper. It's also not possible to put your hands into the pockets without feeling constricted. Not terribly warm, either. I went on a hike with the temp in mid 40s and felt chilled. The quality of the down is not the best either. I could feel some of the ends of the feathers poking me as a hiked along. I am returning it.

Someone else mentioned the design so I thought I'd add my perspective. I'm 5'7", 110lbs, swimmer/runner build ie cousin to a lodgepole pine. Using Arc'teryx Fit Guide I'm a small. So I ordered a small: the chest was perfect; the collar wonderful neither tight nor too airy; the armholes small, tight, restrictive; the tapered out hips ridiculously voluminous. This design was built on a pear. Really disappointing bec. I love my arc'teryx coat, other coat, partner's coat...

There is a fatal flaw on this vest: the zippers. The zippers on the front and pockets are laughable for such an expensive vest. these are the flimsiest, smallest zippers you could possibly put on a piece of outdoor clothing. Had it for a month and the front zipper split open on me multiple times. There's no excuse for this especially considering it's about the most expensive down vest on the planet.
